As he woke, all he could see was darkness. Something was obscuring his sight; something was constricting his head. He could still breathe, but found he could hardly move. His limbs were bound together. Something was covering his tail. He could not move; he could do nothing. All of a sudden, that cool, Andalite confidence was gone, replaced with irrational fear. Around him, he could smell the stench of manure, and hear the animals making loud noises.
But they were merely in the background. What the Andalite’s mind was currently focused on, was his fear. His innate fear of being locked up – the claustrophobia that restricted his very existance. Jamilan began to panic. <NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!> The loud, agonised thought-speech was heard from as far as thought-speech could go. And as his mind was able to clear – albeit only slightly – he thought to Johnny. He hoped the boy had flown off. He shuddered to imagine him – even though he was a trouble-maker – trapped as a tiny insect.
But right now, he worried for himself, most of all. He could feel the world closing around him, and his body reacted. He began to suffocate, and his body jerked wildly, though restricted by his bounds.

Leroy watched from the top of a tree as they carried an unmoving Jamilan into a garage filled with cages. <<Okay, so we found where the poachers' hideout is. Now what? Free the animals? Call the police? Should we->>
Jamilan had obviously woken up, but Leroy didn't like the tone in his thought speech. Did they do something to him? Leroy could see him through the open garage door and he still seemed to be alright. At least considering the situation.
<<Hang in there Jamilan. We'll get you out.>> But how they would do it was still up for debate. The thing about fighting poachers was that they knew how to deal with animals. And animals were an animorph's biggest asset.
As the poachers closed the garage door, baring Jamilan from sight, Leroy realized they would have to get inside. Jamilan was locked in a cage, Johnny was probably still in there too, and they didn't have a key. Who's brilliant idea was this anyway? What were they thinking, letting their teammate get captured? Oh well, too late to change the plan now.
<<How much time we got left in morph, Nate, Johnny? Fifteen minutes or so? I'm thinking we should try to get into that garage before then and try to help Jamilan make a break for it. We know where the poachers' hideout is now, so there isn't really much of a reason to let Jamilan stay captured, right?>>

<<I knew this was an effing horrible plan,>> Nate grumped upon hearing Jamilian's cry. He'd better not be killed by the time they got in there or this whole thing was useless.
He glanced at Leroy from his perch. <<Yeah I'd guess fifteen minutes max. But we need to get in there faster than that and get this over with. What should we do? Swoop in through the door and hide somewhere to demorph?>>

Charlotte fell slipped in the shower and fell, banging her head on the wall as the mental cry ripped through her mind. She stumbled to her feet, hot water running all over her. Then she stomped on the floor and yelled through the house, "What on earth is that?! Can't a person get a decent shower without going DEAF?" With her day freshly ruined, Charlotte resumed her shower. She couldn't wait for this to be over. LeMaine kept thinking he was the boss of everyone, even though he was, but he didn't have to be that bossy! They were all civilized people. In reality, she had only stayed this long because of the Andalite and Samson.
The cup of coffee fell from LeMaine's hand as the cry entered his mind. He pressed his hands around his ears, trying to soften the cry, but it was no use. After all, it wasn't audio. It was mental. Charlotte called down from the upper floor and LeMaine yelled at Samson. "Samson! Go do something about that Andalite! That's something those aliens can do! Shut it up!" He bent over in the easy chair and picked his coffee up. He through a few ads in a newspaper on the liquid before continuing to read.
Samson had just walked into the living room where LeMaine was at when the sound scoured his brain. "Argg!" he yelled as he clamped his hands against his ears as well. Then a procession of yelling sounded. Charlotte yelled to ask what was going on and LeMaine yelled at him to do something about it. Samson grumbled to himself as he walked toward the back of the house. Why did he have to do it? Didn't they have those guides for a reason? To do things like this? Just because LeMaine was employing him, didn't mean that he was like a cockroach to be stepped on. He slammed the door open and ignored the cries of the animals in there. He yelled at the Andalite, "Hey! Shut up in there!" He chucked a broom at the cage, hearing it strike the bars before he turned and slammed the door shut, walking away into the normal part of the house.
<<Aaahhh!>> Johnny yelled back at Jamilan as the Andalite blasted his head. <<Dude! Calm down! You'll get the poachers' attention! Hold on! I'm almost out of here!>> Johnny was glad that the wasp couldn't shake. The shout had startled him a lot! Then he returned to his work of chewing through the wall. By now, he had discovered that it was merely cloth. And he had a large set of Jaws so he had began biting his way through, trying not to get stuck in morph. In fact, he had no idea how much time was left in morph. He hadn't thought to bring a watch. Then at last he bit through the last, thick thread. A small hole, the size of his head was now at the base of the hood. It let in only a few rays of light. But it was just enough for him. <<Hey, Jami-buddy. How much time in morph do we have?>> Johnny knew that Andalites could keep track of timing. Unless Inyx had been a really good liar. He felt several vibrations in the air as he buzzed around the ceiling, but they were getting fainter. He assumed that there was no more danger. <<I've no idea, Leroy, but I'm demorphing now. I'm going to see what all I can do in here, to help Jamilan.>> Johnny landed on a broad surface, hopefully away from anything. Then the really unsettling changes began. The sound effects were so varied as his organs changed and moved that he could compose a song to it. Fortunately, his eyes changed last so he didn't have to see the changes. Then Johnny stood up and looked around him. A leopard started growling. A gorilla was asleep in a cage. A zebra was bucking and clucking. And Jamilan was totally bound and trussed up in a cage. With no key in sight. But he did see a window. One that he probably could barely squeeze out, if he tried. But it was certainly big enough for some birds. Johnny moved over to the window and unlocked it. Then he pushed it outward, creating an opening. Now Leroy and Nate could come inside, if need be.

<<Well looks like that answers our question,>> Leroy commented as a window opened with Johnny on the other side. He wasted no time in swooping down to get inside. Leroy had to land on the windowsill first and take off again from there.
<<Watch out Johnny. It's me, Leroy.>> He landed on the ground and began to demorph, careful not to stray too close to any of the cages. <<You okay in there Jamilan?>> He didn't look okay, tied up like that, that was for sure.

<Dude! Calm down! You'll get the poachers' attention! Hold on! I'm almost out of here!> It was Johnny’s thought-speech. Jamilan couldn’t believe it. He had been such a fool, but he couldn’t have helped it. It was one of his people’s weaknesses, and he hated it. He was trembling under his bounds as the bars shook upon the impact of the broom upon the cage’s doors.
<I-I apologise,> the Andalite replied. <I am extremely claustrophobic.> It felt embarrassing to say it. After all, he was, like all Andalites, proud of his race. Then came Johnny’s question about the time. The Andalite, almost instantly albeit nervously, replied: <You have been in morph for exactly seventeen Earth minutes.> He could hear the sounds of demorphing, and then the animals. He could see his shaping, changing silhouette through the bag.
He then heard Leroy’s thought-speech. <You okay in there, Jamilan?>
The fact that Leroy and Nate were nearly there, and Johnny was in the cage with him reassured him a bit. He was still trembling, and he felt as though he were blind, helpless, weak. <No, but I will recover,> the Andalite replied truthfully to Leroy. <Johnny, can you free my tail and remove this sack from my head?> He would feel much better once he was out of his bounds.

Nate followed Leroy through the window, landing not far from him on the floor. He glanced around first, wary of demorphing until he was completely sure that no one else was around. He spotted the cage where Jamilian was tied up. <<Wow, these guys are geniuses. They should have pumped him with way more tranqs. Did they forget Andalites can morph or something? They're lucky we wanted him to get caught so we could get in here...>>
He started to demorph, growing rapidly from the small bird of prey, feathers slooping back up into his skin. It was a gross feeling, but also pretty cool. Once he was human again, he ducked behind the nearest cage. He started pondering where the keys to all these cages were kept. Boy would the poachers get a big surprise...

Johnny's eyes bulged and he gulped as he involuntarily stepped back with the wicked-looking bird landed on the window, just after he opened it. Then Leroy introduced his new self and Johnny breathed in relief, "Oh good. For a moment there I thought you were a regular bird looking for a meal." Johnny moved away as Leroy flew in and landed on the table with the familiar kestrel right on his tail feathers. Johnny heard Jamilan's voice and spoke, "Sorry buddy, but I don't see any keys to open the cage and I'm not-- waitaminute!" Johnny snapped his fingers before hopping over a bucket and mop and stopping beside one of the cages. He thrust his hand between the bars and embedded his fingers in the thick fur. He smiled as he concentrated on the form of the gorilla. Gorillas could bend bars, couldn't they? The changes began quickly and easily. In fact, the only thing Johnny wished for was a t-shirt that he could shred when his chest expanded and muscles appeared everywhere. Then his skin became wrinkled and black fur sprouted everywhere he could see except on his chest and hands. He didn't see the white and silver fur sprout along his lower back. But the thing he noticed most was the immense power. He felt like the Hulk! Then the mind reared up and Johnny was surprised. He was ready for an intense struggle for power, like he had waged with his other morphs. The lizard had wanted to run and eat every insect in sight. The dog had wanted to be rubbed and petted. The eagle had wanted to fly and attack a rat. The wasp had wanted to hunt and find flowers. But the gorilla just wanted peace. Except around the leopard, but Johnny could handle the mind. Then he set to work. He knuckle-walked over to the cage Jamilan was in and he grabbed the lock and pulled. It snapped surprisingly easily. From there, it was only a simple matter to pull the cage door away. In fact, Johnny was surprised that the sleeping gorilla hand't already busted out. The bars didn't seem that strong now that Johnny was at least eight times stronger than he had been. He moved in and had just pulled the hood of Jami's head when the door cracked open. Johnny didn't see it, but a brown-skinned man walked in, gaped at the two humans and the gorilla freeing the Andalite, before running out the room, slamming the door, and yelling at the top of his lungs in soom unknown language. Johnny ripped the styrofoam off of Jamilan's tail and then the remaining bonds. <<Guys? We may have to fight our way out. Besides, how are we going to get out?>> ((A good chance for morphs to be acquired. Battle! And Johnny obviously hadn't noticed that there was a garage door. )

As Leroy finished demorphing, he watched Johnny acquire the gorilla. Had Leroy been by himself he never would have dared to stick his hand into a gorilla cage, even if it was asleep. But for some reason the fact that Johnny was brave enough to do it (and succeeded) made Leroy's own confidence go up.
So after Johnny morphed the gorilla and Leroy was sure he had it under control, Leroy moved towards the wild gorilla himself. As Johnny worked to free Jamilan, Leroy stuck his fingers between the bars in the gorilla cage and acquired it. No sooner had he finished than one of the poacher people opened the door.
Johnny said they would probably have to fight their way out, and unfortunately Leroy agreed. He was about to start morphing his elephant when he realized it would be way too cramped in here. Instead he looked over at Johnny and focused on him. Black hair started to sprout out of his skin and his morphing suit. He knew that Marco from the original animorphs used a gorilla morph, so it must be pretty good in a fight. Right?

Nate watched Johnny shove his arm into the gorilla cage and at first he thought the kid had a death wish. Then finally he realized that he was acquiring the large primate. Of course! Duh! He had forgotten they were in, essentially, a buffet table of morphs. Even easier than breaking into the zoo...
He glanced into the cage that he was hiding behind. A leopard stared back at him, curious. Nate couldn't help but grin. "Kick ass." He decided to stop moving, hoping the leopard would grow less interested in him right by the cage. Not that it would stop picking up his scent, but if he could at least remain unexciting to watch...
Niiiiiiice kitty...
It finally glanced away as Johnny finished his new gorilla morph, clearly confused at the scent of a different predator over the human that had been there before. Without thinking too quickly on it--had he stopped to think about what a stupid idea it was, he would have never done it--he thrust his arm into the cage and grabbed the big cat by it's tail, pulling the tail out between the bars of the cage so the leopard wouldn't be able to reach him otherwise. The cat thrashed in the cage, and Nate felt a little bad pulling on it's tail, but he focused as best he could on the cat, acquiring it's DNA. Eventually the leopard calmed as the effects of the acquiring finally took it over. When he was finished, Nate carefully tucked the leopard's tail back into the cage at the cat's side, and patted him on the haunches. "Sorry kitty."
The poachers burst into the room just as he crouched lower behind the cage and began focusing on the leopard DNA now running through his veins. Alright jerks. Now let's see if you like becoming the prey...

All around him, Jamilan could hear the others, first the sounds of them talking, and Johnny’s apologies and sudden revelation. Minutes later, he could hear the sounds of the door being ripped off its hinges, and then...the Andalite could see again! He breathed a sigh of relief through his nose-slits, and looked around, noticing first the large, black-furred biped. That had to be Johnny, he deduced. His tail and body were soon free, and he rose to his feet, leaping from the cage, feeling more confident albeit a little sore. <Thank you, Johnny,> he said, stalk-eyes noticing the man just as he left.
<Guys,> Johnny told everyone. <We may have to fight our way out. Besides, how are we going to get out?>
At that, Jamilan looked around. He was disappointed not to find his shredder; on the highest setting, it could actually demolish a building or a small ship. He opted not to acquire anything; he had other things to focus on and there was nothing of interest to him here, because his Andalite body was plenty. <Unfortunately, they took my shredder,> he said. Now that he knew what they were, he was certain he could dodge the tranquilisers. He hoped that for the others, it would be the same; he didn’t want any of them to become nothlits and he was sure they didn’t want to either.

Johnny moved totally out of the cage. From there he knuckle-walked to the door and stood behind it, waiting for it to swing open. He saw Leroy morphing as well, but Johnny was mystified. Elephants didn't have thick black fur, did they? Johnny didn't even know that elephants had hair. So that left Johnny to his logical conclusion. Why morph a Doberman? Well, I guess it would be useful. Oh well, his choice after all.Johnny looked over at Nate and saw very strong similarities to the leopard in the cage. He must've acquired it, Johnny brilliantly deduced. Jamilan just kind of stood there. So Johnny gave him a job. <<Hey Alien-buddy. Could you work on a way out of here through a wall or something? These people might use guns and we can't walk through that.>> Johnny still hadn't noticed the garage door. So what? He wasn't very observant. Then he heard foot-steps and quick, frantic language pounding closer to the room. Johnny had a quick idea. He moved in front of the door and pressed against it. Gorillas were certainly a lot stronger than humans. Johnny would never have been able to demolish a cage door otherwise. And this would at least give Leroy and Nate time to morph. THen the pounding began. At least two people were on the other side of the door, pushing on it and hitting it with their hands. They barely budged Johnny. Then the resistance disappeared, before returning in a quicker, but stronger attack. They were body-slamming the door! They did this several times when Johnny heard and felt them stop. <<Oh wow, this is an incredible animal! I just held offf two people! Humans are so--OOWWCH!>> His yell came as he heard a CRACK and sudden pain filled his wrist. He moved it from the door handle and he could see a nice big hole through it, one that matched the new hole in the door. And blood was starting to stream from it. <<Guys, there's at least one gun out there. I gotta move.>> Johnny hoped that there had been enough time to morph. Then he moved to the side, behind the door as it suddenly pushed open. Two humans and a gorilla rescuing the Andalite? Impossible. LeMaine did not believe it. Neither did, Samson, from the look on his face. How would anybody find out about the capture anyway? And how would they be able to track them down and locate their base? And how on Earth would they be able to get a gorilla to work with them? In fact, LeMaine was only there because the guides had been so insistent that one of them had seen it. Superstitious lot. Knew I should've never hired them. Should've gone with the Australian team.Samson watched as two guides pushed against the door, trying to get it open. His semi-smile disappeared. Obviously something was barricading the door. And why would they block themselves from going into a room? There had to be something in there. "They're right," Samson said to LeMaine. "There's definitely something blocking the door. And how could they do it if they are all on this side of the door?" LeMaine rolled his eyes as he accepted this fact. He still doubted the whole truth of the matter. There probably were humans, but the gorilla was nonsense. It would've torn them limb from limb! The two men watched as two of the guides then slammed into the door with their full wait a few times. Nothing. The door didn't bulge. "Allow me," Samson said as he unholstered his pistol. He motioned for the guides to get out of the way and he took a moment to aim before he fired. With a loud CRACK, a puff of smoke appeared and a bullet went flying towards the door, drilling through the wood, and left through the other side. Samson heard a low roar and smiled with success. He'd hit the person. Then the guides pushed forwards and the door flew open. ((You all can control any of the guides or Samson or LeMaine. Charlotte won't appear until the end of the fight (however long it will be) because she's in the showere. )

Leroy felt his muscles bulge as the last of the changes took place. He was strong. He was powerful. He was hungry for a nice piece of fruit. But no time for that.
CRACK! He heard Johnny let out a cry of pain and say he had to move. Leroy spotted some drops of blood on the floor as he knuckle-walked toward Johnny's position. He didn't know what he was going to do, but he had to think fast.
The door swung open and without thinking Leroy grabbed a nearby wooden crate and hurled it at the opening. It knocked someone back who was trying to come into the room and shattered. The victim fell into the person behind him and the floor beyond was instantly covered in busted boxes of bullets.
Leroy didn't even stop to think as he searched for something else to throw.

Nate was almost finished his transformation. Just a few moments more and he would be the leopard. Already it felt awesome... like he was liquid, just smooth and ready to stalk through the room and own it. He felt claws erupting from his fingernails and he knew he would have fun with this morph. When he was done, he could sense the other leopard, looking at him intently. It was probably confused out of it's mind, Nate thought.
He quickly surveyed what was going on. The poachers were getting through the door. There was blood... whose? He traced it to one of the Gorillas. Either Johnny or Leroy. The other gorilla was throwing stuff. Jamilian was... looking lost. <<Yo, Jamilian! Spotted anything yet?>>
Then a thought came to him. <<Hey. Hey guys remember we can't just escape or this whole thing was pointless. We need to get these animals out of here.>> He quickly surveyed his options. Okay, downside to the leopard. No opposable thumbs. The gorillas on the other hand... <<Hey, if I take down one of the dudes, can one of you monkey men search him for keys?>> He was already slinking as fast as he could around the side of the room so that the men at the door wouldn't see him coming from straight on.

((OOC: Sorry...muse issues...>_< Hope this post doesn't suck))
Apparently, there were two black-furred bipeds here. Nate was morphing something spotted and feline. Johnny was asking him if he could find them a way out of here. <I am unsure, but I will look,> he said, and began his search. He was a bit nervous, for their sake, and for his own; he was sure he couldn't dodge every bullet. Living in an alien world had humbled him. This proved true as Johnny was suddenly shot through the wrist. <Johnny...> Jamilan said aloud with a grimace, hoping the human-turned-gorilla would be alright.
This did not distract him from what he was doing, however; he found, soon, a large garage-like door. He quickly searched for a switch, but found none. However, there was a circuit. He could easily work with these simple human circuits, and thus galloped in its direction. <I have, Nate,> he replied. <A large door. I believe it should be sufficient, and I am certain I can get it open.> He got to the circuit panel, and opened it, then began re-wiring the circuits.
<Johnny, are you alright?> he asked, wanting to know; he was worried about him, after all.
