((It's totally fine.)) Johnny wrapped his ham-sized hand around his forearm, just above his wrist. He was hoping that he could stop some of the blood flow. It didn't seem like a fatal wound, or even a serious one, but he wasn't taking chances. It appeared to have been enough time for Leroy to morph because Johnny had seen a crate become a blur in the air right before it downed the first guy in the room and exploded in bullets. Then he looked around and saw a stalking leopard. Outside of a cage. But then he saw a leopard inside a cage so he knew the one outside was Nate. After all, who was left? He volunteeered for Nate's proposed assignment and answered Jamilan, <<Yeah, I'm okay Jamilan. And Nate, who needs keys when you got these?>> He held up an arm and pointed to the giant muscles all over it. He lumbered over to the closest cage. The captive zebra inside was going mad with the action! Johnny tried ignoring everything around him and he quickly found the cage lock and ripped it off. Johnny was going to like the morph. Pulling the lock off had been as easy as taking a tissue from a box. Then he grabbed the cage and pushed it back enough to leave a zebra-sized gap for it to escape. The black and white animal didn't run just then but Johnny was already moving on to the gorilla cage, whose resident had just decided to wake up. ((Now we can add a zebra to the chaos equation!)) Samson's mouth dropped when the door gave away and he caught a glimpse inside the room. A gorilla! The guides had been right! And he saw a quick flash of blue in the far background. The Andalite! Samson didn't see anymore because the second after the door opened and a guide walked in, a large impact struck the guide, forcing him back into the second guide and sprawlking them out. Bits of metal scattered everywhere and Samason could make out hundreds of bullets. A crate had been thrown! Samson pulled back and moved to the side of the room. He wasn't going to stand in view of the...whatever they were, and be an easy target. No, he was going to wait until the people and gorilla were sufficiently distracted before entering the fight. He looked at LeMaine, who seemed to be taking this in stride. LeMaine smiled at Samson, silently applauding his quick action. LeMaine himself pulled his own pistol out and cocked it before crouching behind a couple of barrels. By then, the third guide had already blundered into the far room and the fallen ones were quick behind him.

Leroy managed to throw one more small crate before three guys managed to get into the room, but this crate was empty so it didn't have much effect. He contemplated the idea of helping Johnny to open cages, but only for a second. His mind was made up for him when he noticed the second poacher going for a rifle that was leaning by a wall.
Leroy charged him, but wasn't quite fast enough. The guy swung the weapon around and fired. It would have blasted Leroy's face off if he hadn't caught the muzzle in one of his enormous palms. But because he had, the bullet whizzed by and harmlessly hit the back wall. However, the gun going off right next to Leroy's head left him nearly deaf.
"Roawwwrrr!" Leroy yelled, showing his gorilla fangs. He yanked the gun out of the man's hands effortlessly, then used it as a makeshift club. The guy went down and stayed down. <<Now where are those other two?>> he said mostly to himself.

Johnny had a good point. A much faster, destructive point. Always the more favourable one in Nate's mind. "Okay Johnny! Get to it then! I'll go jump on some guys!"
Nate had seen one of the men duck behind some barrels. That would be his target for now. He hurried around behind some crates just to make sure the man didn't see him coming, slinking in between and around them, making his way along the side of the room and then turning the corner in relative stealth. Yes, there he was... Nate crouched, and then snuck towards him even slower. If he could just come up behind him...

Relieved with Johnny’s well-being, the Andalite continued his work with the primitive circuitry, his stalk-eyes looking behind him, monitoring the trio as they went about releasing the wildlife, and disarming the poachers – which Jamilan was grateful for. <I suggest you knock the poachers out so that they can be restrained for arrest later,> he said to no-one in particular, as the door began to creak open, the light of day flooding into the room.
Satisfied with his handiwork, Jamilan galloped away from the wall panel, and to a cage. FWAP! The twisted piece of metal that had once been a lock went flying, and the door snapped open. The confused antelope darted out of the cage, and Jamilan watched it moving with grace – but not as much grace as an Andalite. Moving on to the next cage, he watched the others with his stalk-eyes.

Johnny froze when the gorilla looked right at him. Then the real Gorilla stood up and began beating his chest, as well as hooting and hollering. Johnny began doing the same. While Jamilan was freeing the antelope and Nate was stalking someone, Johnny was in a territorial stand-off. "Hoooo! Hrooooo!" He roared, flashing his teeth and slapping his leathery chest. Then he jumped and kicked at the cage door.
His foot bent bars in, leaving a semblence of a footprint in the metal. The contact snapped Johnny out of it. <<Huh, what? What a second! Aargg!>> Johnny wrapped his his corn dog sized fingers around the bars of the cage and ripped the door off of the cage in his frustration. He thought the gorilla was an easy morph. He thought it would be the one morph he didn't lose control of the first time morphing! Then he went ahead and lost control!
The gorilla inside was still beating his chest but Johnny turned around and walked towards the leopard cage. But first, he grabbed a tranquillizer gun from the top of another wooden crate. There was no way he was going to open up the cage of an angry leopard without at least a suit of armor, two feet thick. He took aim at the beast and jammed the trigger back with a finger as there was an escape of gas and he saw a brightly colored, feathered dart embed itself in the leopard's shoulder. He began walking towards it.
((You guys can attack and control LeMaine and Samson anytime. ))

(Oh, but you're so good at it. Okay, I'll give it a try) Samson watched as two of the guides were taken out by the gorilla with the rifle. He could see that the andalite was doing something too, but wasn't sure what. And another gorilla was busy tearing open the cages. At least they were preoccupied now. But that wouldn't last long seeing as how there was only one guide left standing. As Samson peered around the side of his hiding place, he caught a glimpse of a spotted figure. The big cat seemed to be headed for the last guide. That was, unless Samson could stop it. He took aim, then pulled the trigger. BLAM!
BLAM! Another gun shot rang in Leroy's deafened ears. He couldn't tell where it came from, or where it was aimed, but he didn't have time to figure it out either. A freed zebra chose that moment to try and bolt in the confined space, crashing into Leroy as it did so. He got a crushed foot and cracked rib from the animal. Not to mention a bang to the head that left him momentarily disoriented.
BLAM! LeMaine heard Samson's gun fire and saw an eruption of activity happening on the other side of the barrels he was hiding behind. But LeMaine paid it little attention. He had his attention mostly focused on the real prize at the moment. The alien. They had to recapture the alien, then they could make short work of the rest of these animals. He aimed his pistol at the andalite even though he had no intention of shooting it just yet. He still wanted to take it alive if possible. LeMaine scooted toward the corner on the room where he remembered a tranquilizer gun was stored. If he could reach it, maybe he could save this situation.

Nate crouched, ready to jump on the man behind the barrels. He was just about to let loose the leopard's tightened spring-like muscles when a bang came out of nowhere and he felt himself fall with searing pain. AAHH OW. What the--CRAP CRAP! he flailed a little, trying to get back on his feet and figure out where he'd been shot.
The pain felt like it was everywhere all at once, but he soon pinpointed it to a back leg the minute he tried to put any pressure on it. He'd been shot in the leg. He let out a loud curse through thought speech as he did his best to duck behind some more crates to shield himself from any more immediate gun shots. His cover wouldn't last long, though. <<Guys! I'm hit!>>

((OOC: If this post is unacceptable, I’ll fix it)).
The others weren’t having much luck, though they were making do with their exotic animal bodies. Then he heard Nate’s pleas of help. It was strange. He’d spent just a short amount of time with these kids...but in that time, he had befriended the humans, beyond the friendships he’d made prior. But then again, the fact that he didn’t have to hide what he was might have had something to do with this. Regardless of how their relationship stood, the Andalite was very angry that they were getting harmed, and he felt even more hateful towards these poachers.
<I will assist you, Nate!> he shouted, but galloped in the direction of Samson rather than Nate, nimbly dodging a bullet. The man who believed he’d nearly shot him grunted. On the way, he slashed a cage open, and the animals – a couple of chimpanzees, he recognised – climbed out of the cage, confused as to what was going on. He galloped towards Samson, and swung his blade, aiming for a blow to the head to knock him unconscious.
BLAM! He had accidentally pulled the trigger out of fear. The bullet whizzed past his shoulder; he could feel the air from it as it whizzed past him, having missed his neck. An inch closer, and he would have been dead. The Andalite had never had a close brush against death, but it was something he would have to contemplate later, as he heard a cry, and pulled his blade from the flesh he’d impaled. The gun dropped to the floor.
Samson, face contorted with agony, reached for the gun. “WHY YOU-“ However, Jamilan kicked the weapon away, quickly surveying the damage he had done. A bloody gash ran down his shoulder. It was nothing serious; it could have been worse, the Andalite realised. He was not going to bleed to death, and thus the Andalite made the decision to knock him unconscious with the flat of his blade.
<Nate! Are you alright? This man will not be shooting anymore.> He scanned the area with his stalk and main eyes for LeMain, and caught sight of him, scrambling towards a corner of the room. The Andalite leaned down, and picked up the human weapon. It was heavy in his arms. He aimed it. <<I will fire a warning shot at LeMaine. I do not intend to kill or harm him – but he does not need to know that,>> he said privately to the others. He had to inform them, after all.
The Andalite, mustering all his upper body strength, pulled the trigger. BLAM! He drove a bullet into the wall in front of LeMaine, who glanced back to see the Andalite with the weapon, and the downed Samson.

((Well, Leroy, if you all controlled the poachers, then you'd be able to attack them better than having to worry about me and things like that. Plus I'm lazy. )) Johnny smashed the lock on the leopard's cage and jerked it off, but he didn't open the door. No, he didn't want to deal with a leopard, no matter how sleepy it was getting. All of the animals except for the leopard were free now so he could turn his attention back to the fight, which seemed to be in their favor. Nate had been shot, but it hadn't sounded like it was fatal, but Johnny was only going by the tone of Nate's voice. He didn't really know what kind of wound he had. Jamilan's thoughts kind of worried him, though. Lumbering back closer to the fight, Johnny peered at the ground and saw a man lying there with a slash down his shoulder. Jamilan did that? One slice of a tail and the man is out? <<Woah! What did you do to that guy?>> he said to Jamilan. Was there a kind of martial arts technique that let Andalites kill with a non-serious slash? Inyx had never mentioned anything. He turned his gaze to Jamilan and then watched the alien shoot a gun. A human, lead-projectile gun. That only had one mode: kill. Even with the thought-speak announcement beforehand of not harming the guy, it didn't look right to Johnny. Johnny had a better idea and walked around where he could clearly see the man that Jamilan had shot at. He raised the tranquilizer gun.
LeMaine grabbed the tranquilizer gun just in time for a bullet to embed itself in the wall in front of him. He glanced over to see the Andalite standing there, holding a pistol with a bit of smoke coming from the end. He shifted his attention downwards for a moment, registering the bleeding cut along Samson's shoulder. Samson looked like he had been knocked out. He knew that Andalites could be very deadly in battle, but he hadn't known they could be like this. LeMaine had looked away for a second to get the gun and in that short frame of time, Samson Reggie had been taken down. The surprised look left his face as quickly as it came. A stern expression came over his face as he subtlely moved his hand, which was hidden by the stack of barrels in front of him like everything below his waist, and grabbed the knife strapped to his leg. He pulled it out of the sheath very slowly. Then, in a blur he raised his arm and threw the knife at the Andalite. He doubted it would even touch him, but it might serve as a distraction. LeMaine raised the gun in his hand and aimed at the alien. Then, a pain erupted in his shoulder for a second before it went numb. He looked away from the andalite and looked at his shoulder to find a pink feathered dart sticking out of it. He looked up and shot the gun, only then seeing the similarly armed gorilla in the distance behind the Andalite. Then his eyes losed and he slumped against the wall.

As Leroy's head cleared after being knocked aside by the zebra, what Nate said finally registered. Nate was hit! Other words were flying in and out of his head from the other two, but none stuck quite as well as Nate's message. <<Just don't die Nate. We'll get you out of here. Don't worry.>> Leroy didn't realize that Nate was 'only' shot in the leg.
Leroy moved toward one of the garage doors, wincing inwardly each time he stepped down on his hurt foot or breathed in due to his damaged rib. He could see that Jamilan was no longer trying to get them a way out, so he decided to take over. When he reached one of the garage doors, Leroy wound up and swung one of his fists full force. The door dented, but did not break. Unlike the bones in his hand. <<Aaahh, ooow!>> He used his other hand to grab hold near the base of the door and lifted up. There was a lot of resistance, but it slowly raised up. Light flooded in through a large gap that was forming underneath. They now had a way to escape.

Nate ducked behind the barrels, trying to stay under cover but assess the situation at the same time. It looked like most of the cages were open now. All they needed to do was escape with the animals. Oh yeah, and he needed to demorph. Animals first. He was pretty sure he wasn't bleeding too much. Maybe. Kinda. Boy the bullet wedged in there hurt like crazy, though.
<<I'm ok for now. I think. Let's just get out of here!>> Nate replied to the others as he watched Leroy finally get the garage door open. <<Oh sweet!>> He started limping for the door as the other animals fled in the same direction.

<Whoah! What did you do to that guy?> Johnny’s thought-speech rang in his mind.
<I knocked him unconscious,> the Andalite replied truthfully, fingers pulling the gun’s trigger. These poachers didn’t deserve to live, and were it up to him, they would have been dead already. However, he had his orders; he was not to kill any of them unless absolutely necessary. The human, in a futile movement, hurled a knife at the Andalite, which he saw with his stalk-eyes and dodged. LeMaine aimed his gun at Jamilan...and collapsed, dart embedded in his neck. Setting the gun down, Jamilan took a deep breath through his nose-slits.
<I’m okay for now. I think. Let’s just get out of here!> The pain was apparent in Nate’s thought-speech voice. Jamilan raised an eyebrow; did Nate really want to risk the bloodloss, or the shock from the pain? Though maybe the morph he was in could handle it better than a human. That was most likely.
As he saw the gorilla punching the door, he made his way towards the panel, but it was too late for that. The doors would be too damaged to work. Jamilan cursed the primitive human technology silently, but breathed another sigh of relief as Leroy broke through the door. Jamilan stared back at the scene with his stalk-eyes, remaining to ensure that Johnny escaped.
<Are we going to alert the authorities?> he asked. <These criminals need to be apprehended and if we leave them here, they might escape.>

<<Okay then. Just checking,>> Johnny said. He'd ask Jamilan about how he knocked the man out later. Right then, Johnny wanted to get his furry black hide out of Africa. He held the tranquilizer gun in both hands and deftly snapped it, marvelling at how easy it was. Johnny laughed as he lightly chucked the pieces at a wall and flakes of plaster and wood came raining down. The gorilla was just too great. As the last non-human-turned-animal-animal (except for the sleeping leopard) bolted through the exit conveniently arranged by Leroy, Johnny grabbed the poacher who Jamilan had knocked out and gently tossed him at the poacher he himself had tranqed. For added effect, he placed a barrel on top of them. Hopefully, it would look like someone had knocked them into each other with a barrel. Johnny looked over to the others and decided to leave 'em. There was no way to make it look like humans had attacked them. Johnny wasn't really sure why he wanted to cover it up, since nobody had probably ever heard of PHANTOM in Africa, but it would look very strange if an article about a group of poachers being attacked and captured, but not killed, by animals. It could blow there cover, and Johnny just didn't think about it much. Johnny agreed with Jamilan. <<I'll call the local cops. You guys go ahead without me. I can catch up later.>> Johnny's bulky form began slimming down as his changes began. He didn't much care if they stayed or not. He could just follow a road into town later, of course while flying over it. He figured the house he was in wasn't far from the town they were staying at. He headed off into the house to look for a phone and phonebook. He'd heard that in England, the police 999, as compared to the number he was used to, 911. So he'd need to find out what the locals called for the police.

Leroy was already halfway across the yard by the time Johnny said to go ahead without him. He had automatically assumed that the other three would have left that place as soon as possible and it only just occurred to him that they might not. Leroy slowed down and thought about going back himself, but figured Johnny would be able to handle it. All the poachers were unconscious now anyway, right?
Leroy continued to knuckle-walk toward the tree line, trying to support most of his weight on his one good hand and one good foot. Ignoring the pain in his chest and the throbbing in his skull wasn't easy either. <<Just hurry up Johnny. In the meantime, I'll try to get us some air cover.>>
Once Leroy got a short distance into the trees, he pulled himself into a large tree and began to demorph as he climbed. He could feel his bones healing as he did so, and boy what a relief it was. "Thank you andalites," he said to himself quietly as he continued to climb, even as a human.
When he was in a suitable spot, he concentrated on his newest morph. A hornbill of some sort. He had only morphed while in a tree once before, so he was a bit nervous that he would fall out and crash to the ground. Last time he had turned into a bug, and for some reason that seemed like it would have been easier to turn into while in a tree. Luckily he managed to complete his morph without any complications.
Leroy took to the air and waited for the others to join him.

Nate ran for the door, hoping the other animals were also making their way out. Normally he would have paid better attention, but there was that minor thing about being shot in the leg that was sort of taking up all his thoughts at the moment.
He cursed and swore as he limped as fast as he could for as far as he could before he finally ducked behind a large group of bushes. Demorph demorph demorph! he yelled at himself, focusing on his human self as well as he could with the searing pain through his back half. Slowly it began to dissipate as he regained his real human form.
Finally human again, he felt disappointment hit as he realized he'd barely gotten to enjoy his awesome new morph. It was probably his own fault, anyway. He'd been too busy trying to be cool in it that he'd forgotten to pay attention to the rest of his surroundings.
Nate sighed and once he had caught his breath, he quickly morphed to kestrel and took to the skies. <<I'm okay guys! I'm flying. Where are you?>>
