<<Five more minutes, Mom.>> Johnny weakly joked. He just wanted to go to sleep. He was really hurting. He was really small so fortunately, the fall hadn't hurt him as bad as it would've. But it still hurt. <<Okay Roy.>>
He focused on the mental image of himself and he began to get taller. Several minutes later, he was reclining on a few crates and boxes. He slowly got up into a sitting position before he asked Leroy. "So, uh, what now?"

Leroy was a little worried that Johnny had received some brain damage or something, but his worries eased as soon as he started demorphing. Demorphing would heal any injuries he might have, right? He would find out soon enough.
If Johnny had any injuries when he was a lizard, then they weren't visible now. Then Johnny asked what they should do now, but Leroy wasn't entirely sure. "Umm... I guess we should go find a way to contact the police?" Leroy looked around for a way to get out besides the way the crooks had gone.
"Let's go out the back door," he said. He made his way towards the exit he had spotted. It looked like it led to the back yard.

The morphing had healed the pain but Johnny still felt like there should be pain all over his back. The technology was very weird and he wasn't sure that he would ever get used to it. After all, you break your arm and you cna't use it for a month. You didn't get it healed after three minutes. He shook his head.
"Agreed," he told Johnny as he slowly got up off the crates and clutter ot follow the other guy. Now they would call the police since they've already found the thieve's hideout. He opened the door first, not giving Leroy a chance to, and walked outside into the spring day. "Aah! Fresh air!"

"Would you be quiet!" Leroy said in a yelling whisper as he lunged to try and cover the guy's mouth. It was too late though. From around the corner of the garage he saw a dark shape appear. It was a doberman. It looked happy with its tongue hanging out. At least until it saw that him and Johnny weren't its master. Then its face instantly turned into a snarl. Leroy took a step backwards out of fear. He didn't want to mess with an angry dog. Especially not a criminal's dog in the criminal's own back yard.

"Any ideas on how to escape?" Johnny asked Leroy without a bit of humor. That dog did not look friendly. "Oh! I have one! Let's go back in." He turned around and walked back through the door. Leroy could follow if he wanted. Or he could try another escape route. Whatever worked for him.
Johnny however, didn't want to dance with the...doberman? Yeah, morphing could heal anything, but the dog would probably swallow him if he morphed. Unless. He looked at the bottom of the door. Perfect. The crack between the bottom of the door and the concrete of the garage's floor was at least an inch high. Just enough room for a gecko and weevil to slip through. He got down on his haunches, eying it carefully. Outside, he could hear the dog barking and scratching at the dog. Surely its masters would be coming soon. So whatever the duo did, they'd have to do it quick.

Leroy quickly went back through the door with Johnny. And none too soon! He could see the dog jumping up and barking at the door its window. It was loud too. It owners would surely be out here in a matter of moments, not minutes.
"We gotta go, now. Animals go into a trance when you acquire them, right? I'll try to grab it and you run for the fence. Hope you are a good jumper." Before Johnny could say anything, Leroy opened the door again and the dog tried to get in before he could open it more than a crack. Good, now he could grab it without it grabbing me, Leroy thought as he grabbed a wiggling paw. The dog calmed down as it went into the acquiring trance.
(OOC: We don't have to escape if you don't want to)

((But what if I want to?))
"Why didn't I think of that?" Johnny asked as he returned outside. With the men coming and the dog incapacited (temporarily), Johnny felt outside would be safest. He pushed the door open and the dog stood there dumbly. Just like the lizard had when Johnny had aquired it. But then again, lizards normally did stay in one spot for extensive periods of time.
He ran towards the fence that surrounded the yard (or at least what he could see of it). He got there and jumped. His fingers never even got close tot he top. The fence was wood, at least ten feet high, and had pointy tops. He wasn't getting over that anytime soon. However he saw another possiblity. It was similar to what had happened in the tenth grade, when he accepted the dare to go into Mr. Rosenbarten's garden to pick a rose for a girl. He had easily gotten in, but it took him longer to get out.
He climbed a tree. It was a big oak and had plenty of branches on the lower parts. All in all, it was perfect to climb. "Over here, Leroy! Climb the tree!" he hissed.

As soon as he finished acquiring the dog, Leroy bolted. He didn't want to be near that thing when it snapped out of it. He ran straight for the fence, but switched direction when he heard Johnny. That fence was way taller than he had originally thought. The tree was a much better idea.
"How did you get up there so fast?" Leroy asked. But just then he heard the dog barking and running towards him. That was how he got up there so fast. In a couple of moments Leroy was up in the leafy branches with Johnny.
"What has gotten into you?" Leroy heard one of the crooks ask the dog. Leroy froze stiff, just hoping that the guy wouldn't see him. "Hey Hank, bring out the bb gun. I think Oscar scared some critter up into the tree."

"Jet-pack. Sorry I've been holding out on you guys." Johnny said with his face totally straight. He sat on a wide branch and could see the dog barking at him and Leroy from the ground. Johnny pulled a few branches back so he could see the robbers walk around. In a low whisper,he asked, "What kind of a dog's name is Oscar? Who names a dog that?" The thought dumbfounded Johnny Wayne.
But then, critter? In a tree? That gave him an idea. "So, maybe we should morph? If we could climb up her, I bet that they could too." THis time, Johnny waited for a reply.

"Whatever we do, we had better do it fast. I'm guessing those guys don't keep their guns locked away in some hard to reach corner." Even as he spoke he started to morph into a bug.
He began to shrink and his hands became bug-like. Wings sprouted from his back, then his waist pinched to an incredibly small point. Next his shin hardened and started to turn green. Just as his eyes became compound, he saw them coming back with the gun. Hopefully he would be small enough and green enough that he would be overlooked. <<Hope you are almost done. I think they are almost back.>> Leroy's vision was terrible now, so he couldn't be positive.

Johnny's eyes were huge. His skin was dry and rough. All of his hair was gone. His limbs were a fraction of their normal size. In fact, his whole body was a fraction of its normal size. Except for his fingers and toes. They were flat and swollen. And no, Johnny wasn't sick. He was morphing a gecko. A common house gecko to be exact. Or, at least that is what the sticker on the gecko cage at the pet shop had said.
He had silently agreed with Leroy and had begun morphing as soon as the other guy did. He finished morphing last, maybe fifteen seconds after Leroy. and not a moment too soon. He could feel a lot of vibrations on the bark of the tree and several leaves rattled around. He skittered around on the branch until he was underneath it. Johnny would describe the expereince with two words. Awe. Some. Now the two goons wouldn't see him.
<<Yes, I'm finished morphing,>> Johnny replied to Leroy (who else would he be talking to?) <<Now what are we going to do? I think we can get over the fence now.>>

Leroy was glad to hear that Johnny had managed to morph without getting shot. <<Yeah, lets leave,>> Leroy said enthusiastically. The sooner they got out of there, the better. They knew where the crooks lived, so they- Wait a minute. They didn't know where the crooks lived yet.
<<Remember that we still need to find out the address of this place before we leave. We don't want this whole adventure to be for nothing. Then we can go back and get our clothes, then call the police. Unless you have some spare change on you, that is.>> Leroy wasn't sure if you could morph loose change or not, but he doubted anyone would keep some in their morphing suit anyway..

<<I'll figure out the address. You go figure outa way to get back to the alley. Or you can try to get Allie to come to our rescue.>> Johnny said. It was up to Leroy what he did. Johnny knew what he was going to do. He fell.
He hit the ground. Hard, but not as hard as when he had been flung against a wall. And the gecko could live with falling from trees. It had instinctively curled up into a ball so it just bounced off the ground. He slithered and scurried through the pretty tall grass (or at least from Johnny's diminitive perspective). He had medicore vision in the morph and he remembered where the fence was so he easily found it again.
Then he scaled the wall without a thought. The lizard just did it so naturally. It was pretty nifty. He crested the top and jumped down the other side. Luckily for him, he was in front of the house now. And he could see the mailbox. 1911 Rogue's Street. How fitting.

How would I get Allie to come to our rescue? Leroy wondered. He let that thought turn in his mind as he flew in the direction that he thought the fence was in. Even after he figured he was over the fence, he just kept flying. When he decided to land, he did not want to be in the same yard. Still, he did not want to fly for too long due to his fear of getting eaten by a bird or something.
Eventually he landed under something. He didn't know what he was under, but it was dark so he figured he could risk demorphing. It turned out that he was under someone's back porch. "Umm... What now?" he asked himself as he lay on his stomach in the cramped space. It would look strange if he just crawled out from under there in his morphing suit. He decided to his new morph might work, but he was nervous about morphing that angry dog.
Just go for it, he urged himself. He may have to morph worse animals in the future, so he might as well get used to it. He focused on the image of the doberman.
The changes weren't nearly as dramatic as his weevil morph, which was nice. And he even got to keep his bones. It took a few minutes, but he eventually became a dog. And now for the part he was dreading. The instincts.
Surprisingly the dog was not really angry at all. It was just extremely protective. Turns out that the dog's strongest emotion was happiness. As long as there was no threat, it just wanted to play. I might actually enjoy this morph.
Leroy crawled out from under the low porch and jogged across the lawn on his four legs. <<Johnny, where are you? I think I found a way to get back.>> Hopefully a dog carrying a lizard wouldn't look too strange.

Johnny discovered sometihng. Geckos were not made to open up mailboxes. And any gecko that tried would have been flashed across YouTube in a seocnd. Johnny was half splayed across the top of the mailbox and his hind legs were pushing on the lid. It wouldn't budge. It seemed his quest to raid the mail had failed.
He kept trying again until Leroy's voice filtered through his thoughts. <<I'm on top of their mailbox. Where are you? Wait, AAAAAHHHHH! The dog got out!>> Johnny jumped off the mailbox and streaked through the grass towards the wall of the house, which he immediately began to climb. <<Leroy, I'm on the house now. The dog can't get me here.>>
