Can't Stop The Big Top

<<Oops. I apologize.>> Inyx instantly went silent, obviously feeling bad for the mix-up. Human names could be so hard to differentiate. They didn't frequently use nice, long, three-word names that made that gave someone more chances to get it right.

Nate's hands bumped and bounced her as he leaned down to pet what the mouse could only understand as a predator. She wriggled in his grasp, so that her head could poke out in the opened between his thumb and index finger. <<Perhaps it is time that we should return to the apartment,>> INyx offered tentatively.

Leroy couldn't help but feel a fresh wave of happiness wash over him when Nate pet his head. What a good feeling! The dog's mind refused to give up feeling so overwhelmingly happy, all the time. The new smells did not help any either.

As Leroy was busy sniffing all over Nate, especially by the little morsel that he was holding in his hands, Leroy heard Inyx's suggestion. <<Sounds good to me,>> Leroy said in response without even slowing down his sniffing. <<We aren't still being followed, are we Johnny?>> Leroy just now realized that he still didn't know what their stalker looked like. He never got a clear view of the person.

Apartment? Sounded nice to Johnny. <<Sure let's go-->> He cut off as he heard Leroy. He immediately said, <<Nope,>> and then he began looking around. He saw an older man with a huge cane sitting on a bench staring at his friends, but Johnny didn't quite see any resemblences between him and their stalker. Nor with the female convict from Weight Watchers. Nor with the young teenager with horrible acne. The guy who looked like James Bond looked sorta like the stalker, but Johnny could tellt hat it wasn't.

<<Uh, yep. I think we're clear. Ready to go? Anyone wanna ride me?>> He called out and opened his talon, still circling above everyone.

"Don't let me answer that one," Nate commented casually. He glanced around for one last check to see that the guy he'd noticed earlier wasn't around anywhere, and then opened his hands a little for some more breathing room for Inyx.

"Alright, home it is then!" he nodded. "...can I pick up some more cotton candy on the way out, though??"
