"Possible? Wait, you want to," Nancy glanced around them, to make sure nobody could overhear, before lowering her voice and saying, "acquire a wolf?" Then, at her normal volume, she continued, "Well, you can try. The worse that could happen is you getting eaten. No big deal, right?" She turned back towards the animals and smoothed a stray strand of hair behind her ear.
Of course, Nancy wasn't going to admit that she was considering the wolf as well. It would be so neat to be able to become the largest dog in existence. The power, and just...the awesomeness! But it would take a long time to get the nerve to jump into the pit just to touch one, as cool as they were or not.
By now, Nancy had finished off the ice cream, and she began t shewing on the wafer cone. "Oh! This ice cream was delicious!"

"I don't know..." Maya watched the wolves carefully as they wandered through their habitat. "It seems like it would be a dangerous thing to try... but probably a useful morph..." She was weighing the options in her head. She already had the caracal morph, which was already kind of dangerous... but the wolf was bigger. Would it be worth the risk? She wasn't so sure.
"Was it?" she turned to Nancy at the mention of the ice cream, looking amused. "You should track down whoever it was that made it... you should tip them or something for such a good job..."

Nancy shrugged her shoulders and said, "It's up to you. I would nould never go down there in the middle of the day while they are awake without a battalion of zookeepers and tranquilizers. I've seen what wolves can do to their food." She tapped her nails on the railing and then frowned. She glanced at her hand and saw one of her nails were chipped. She snapped her fingers out of irritation.
She wasn't annoyed long. "What? I couldn't tip the person. It would give her a really big head about how wonderful she is so she will start doing worse and worse, making ice crem because her ego will say that it is still awesome. Then customers would begin complaining about the lack of quality in the food and they would report her so then she would get fired and she couldn't make me any more ice cream. I could totally ruin my ice-cream eating days forever if I tipped her!"
She glanced over at Maya again. She was starting to get bored with the wolves. They were all pretty much just laying down now. Plus, she never liked standing still too long. Unless the conversation was stimulating or exciting. Like now. But she was still getting tired of the wolves. "Hey," she started, "are you going to, you know, touch them or not? 'Cause I'd like to see more of the zoo before my break is over."

Maya pondered a little bit. It would be a risk. Unless there was a way to get in behind the scenes, but that would involved a lot more reconnaissance before attempting anything. Spying first, getting in later.
She turned to Nancy. "I dunno... here's a better idea for now: Let's keep looking around. We'll scope out all the animals first, and then get a better idea of our selection. Sound good?"

"I totally agree, Maya." Nancy said before spinning on her heel. "C'mon, I pick the exhibit now." She brushed a strand of hair out of her face before walking at a brisk pace down the large path, deeper into the zoo. She finished her cone, not long after. She stopped in front of another map and glanced at the dot that said "You Are Here". She closed her eyes and jabbed her finger at the map. She opened her eyes and started walking to where her finger had landed. But she didn't get there. "Oh hey! Let's go there!" She pointed out an archway to Maya. It read "The Outback". It also had pictures of little kangaroos jumping around on it. Without waiting, Nancy hurried towards the arch wondering what was going to be in there. She didn't have to wait long because she saw a kangaroo. "Omg!" she said to Maya, "Look at the baby! It's so cute! I may have to acquire the kangaroo later. You really do have some good ideas, you know that?" Nancy just stared at the marsupial mother and child. ((You okay with the post?))

Maya followed behind Nancy as she darted to and fro, smiling in amusement. She was still slowly working on her own ice cream cone as she trailed, glancing around and taking in the zoo surroundings as Nancy figured out where to go on the map. Then she let her lead to wherever it was she'd pointed to.
When she got sidetracked at the Outback section, Maya started wondering what sort of animals might be accessible there. She watched the kangaroos for a moment with Nancy. "Hmm. I guess I do... these guys aren't for me though."
((sure))

((Sorry if this is closed))
Alec, with a bucketful of meat, walked into the crocodile section of the reptile house. He threw the crocs some meat and they ran towards it. As the reptiles had their meal, his watch beeped. It was break. Alec walked out of the reptile house. He walked over to the outback section and met the girls. "Why hello. Im Alec, and you are?" He said.

((Nope. It's still open, I just...haven't posted. Oh, and Alec, please write at least two paragraphs with at least three senteces apiece in your posts.))
"What?" Nancy said as she placed her hand on her chest in an overdramatic gesture of outrage. "How can you not like kangaroos? Even if most of these are just laying down, they are still neat!" But even though she liked the kangaroos, their lack of energy on the warm day didn't keep her rooted tot he spot. she stayed there for only two minutes when she turned around and heard:
"Why hello. I'm Alec, and you are?"
Nancy glanced around for the location of the words. Then she saw it. It was the Alec person that she had met on her first day in Hemington. She took the initiative after one look at Maya. "Nancy and Maya, remember? We met at the house with the other animal lovers." She had been careful not to say "animorphs". She wasn't sure how many people were in earshot and she just didn't want to take the chance that somebody was.

Maya shrugged. "It's not that I don't like kangaroos... I just don't see one as a useful..." she paused suddenly aware that maybe people might be hearing their conversations as they went. "...um... pet." She hoped Nancy understood what she meant with that wording.
Then her worries about others hearing them were confirmed by the addition of the new voice. She turned in a bit of a panic, only to breath a sigh of relief when she saw him. It was one of the guys from the house. They were still safe.
"Hey Alec," she smiled.

"Oh. Sorry. didn't notice you." Alec said, looking at the cute kangeroo. "You're right ot ery useful pet." He said, turning to the Koala bear cage. "Look at these. They can climb trees and they're all around cute. Perfect."

((Two paragraphs! Two paragraphs!))
"How fast can they climb trees, though?" Maya wondered, pondering the usefulness of a Koala morph. Probably not that fast, she thought to herself. Cute can only go so far too. No, they wouldn't do either. "Maybe only useful on a vacation to Australia?" she suggested. As in, a mission.
She decided to shift the conversation. "So Alec, I take it you're working here at the zoo too? I'm in the concession stand and Nancy works in the labs. What's your job?" It was strange to Maya that so many of them worked at the zoo. Then again, maybe not that strange... it was a buffet of morphs. SPECTER clearly knew what they were doing.
