"Rukia. Nice name. I like it," Chase commented, giving Rukia a grin. "Hey," he joked, "That didn't stop us." He decided it wouldn't be a good idea to tell her that the only reason they swam in the first place was because he accidentally knocked Jake into the ocean, and then got pulled in. And then got attacked by a crab. Some things are better left unsaid.

"Maybe we can later. Like I said, I'm not much of a swimmer, but I can make an exception." He was starting to wonder if he should back off, considering how Jake had acted around her. And he started to, then she asked if he was from 'around here.' "No. I haven't been here long. I'm from Australia."

Jake smiled, seeing Rukia and Chase get along so well. He didn't care much, because he was just having fun. It was his second chance at life, though with a job that kinda paid for everything. It was the strangest job in the world, yes, but he would deal with it.

Jake kept silent through their conversation. He felt no need to say anything and then Chase said he was from Australia. "Oh, an Austrian, right? Or is it Australian?" He never really paid much attention to Geography.
