Chase stood out on the dock, looking out over the ocean. He didn't have to work today, and for once, he didn't feel like getting into trouble. He just stood there, taking in the ocean air and looking at the seemingly endless stretch of water.
The sound of the waves were hypnotizing. Chase's dark curly hair swayed with the wind a little bit. He closed his eyes, his mind wondering. As far as the troublemaker from Australia knew, it was just him and the ocean...

Jake walked around the beach, looking for something to do. He saw someone standing on the dock and decided to go say hi. He might as well get acquainted with people in this area if he had to stay here.
Jake walked to the right of him, the water glistening behind him. He looked at it for a second; it looked pretty deep to him. Maybe he'd go for a swim later today. Go home, get a swimsuit, that was his plan. He looked over at the guy. "Hey there."

Chase was lost in the serenity of the scene. The waves, the seagulls, everything was music to his ears. I need to relax like this more often. It's great to just unwind every now and then...
His breaths were calm and relaxed, almost like he was in a trance. Everything was so peaceful, so quiet, so perfect. Nothing could possibly ruin this mom-
"Hey there." Chase's eyes flew open and he spun around, accidentally bumping against the guy. "Eh...Sorry 'bout that, mate. Kinda got lost in the moment, ya know? Wasn't really payin' attention..."

Jake didn't get to hear all of what the guy was saying when he got bumped into. He had been on one foot when it happened. He was sent flying through the air and into the water. Pah-LOOSH! Water surrounded him and he opened his mouth in surprise, but bubbles came out.
Jake popped up out of the water and shook his head to get the water out of his hair. "Wow...I had wanted to swim, but I prefer swimming in my swimsuit, thanks." He swam back the dock and looked up. "Do you think you can give me a hand?"

Chase hid a grin when he heard the splash. Sure he didn't MEAN to bump the guy, but the fact that he flew off of the dock and landed into the water, that was priceless. He just sat staring a minute, his face turning bright red as he tried to stifle the laughter that was trying desperately to come out.
He couldn't help it. He burst out laughing for a minute before calming. "Sorry 'bout that, mate. I really am. I just never saw a bloke fly like that. Sure, it's the least I can do." He leaned down and outstretched his hand.

Jake watched as the guy was laughing. He had an idea as he reached for Chase's hand. Grabbing it, he smiled. "Thanks for the help," then he pulled him into the water. He started laughing so hard he didn't even notice what was crawling underneath his other hand until it was too late.
He had gone under when pulling the guy into the water and soon felt a sharp pin on his arm. He shook whatever it was off and hopped up above the water. "YOW!" He shook his hand. "It's a Sebastian!"

Chase didn't see it coming until it was too late. He fell for it, hook, line and sinker. "The 'ell ya do tha-" he started to say, but was cut off when he got a mouth full of salt water. He went under, and came back up coughing.
He got his breath, and laughed again when the crab pinched Jake. "Hahahaha! Serves ya right ya-YOW!" Chase yelled as the crab pinched him. He scrambled back onto the dock, the crab attatched to the back of his shorts. Chase pulled it off. "Crikey! That ornery lil' bastard...."

Jake laughed at Chase when the crab pinched him. "And you laugh at me, huh?" He jumped up on the dock and took the crab from him, acquiring him. "Well, now look at that. It's transfixed." He laughed as he dropped it into the water.
He turned to the guy. "Are you okay?" He held out his hand, a grin on his face. "Name's Jake. So sorry for pulling you into the water."

Chase smiled. "What's that sayin', now? It's only funny at someone else's expense....or something like that." He watched as Jake threw the crab into the water.
Shaking Jake's hand, he said, "I'm alright. Just won't be able to sit down a while. Name's Chase, mate." He grinned. "Sorry 'bout knockin' ya in there in the first place."

Jake laughed. "Oh, please. I'm used to it. All the girls loved to push me in the water." He looked around. "So what brings you here? Here for fun or what?" He leaned his head to the side, trying to get the water out of his ears.
He straightened his head. "And you're from Australia? I noticed the accent; the girls will love you..." he joked. Jake stretched his arms over his head and then let them fall to his sides.

"I look like a girl to you, is that what you're sayin'?" he joked, shaking his head a bit sending water flying everywhere. "I'm sure you'll find one someday, mate. Me? Just relaxin' on my day off, really."
"That's what I've been told. Has yet to be proven right though," he said with a grin. "But, I don't worry about it. Just take it easy, chill out a bit, maybe cause a little trouble here and there. It all works out."

One thing that Rukia never got while in Boston was the beach-- her family never went to one that she could clearly remember. Her brother went all the time with his guitar, entertaining himself and others on the beach with some silly tunes. With her notebook in hand, she started walking down to the beach-- people said the ocean offered some inspiration, right?
Little did she know that two guys that SPECTER had sent to live in the safe house with her-- one of them must have been pushed in the water, for they were a bit wet. She smiled as she walked over to them, making sure not to startle them from behind.
"Hey you guys," she said casually, "Someone get pushed in the water?"

Jake blinked as he looked over at Rukia. It was the girl from the house that had said that she didn't date shorter men. He smiled though--he had to keep trying. "Well, what's wrong with a nice swim?"
He looked over at Chase and then back at Rukia. "Would you like a swim? It's absolutely phenomenal. We--I mean, you can get a better feel for things..." Okay, so that was lame on his end, but he had just been pinched by a crab....his mind was still back on that.

Chase spun around as Rukia approached and started talking. He was about to say something when Jake started talking. "Would you like a swim? It's absolutely phenomenal. We--I mean, you can get a better feel for things..." Chase hid a small smile. Normally, he'd have pushed the guy into the ocean, but not today, especially after the crab.
"Well, personally, I ain't one for swimmin'. I did earlier, but that wasn't my choice. Isn't that right, mate?" he said, looking at Jake with a grin. Looking back to Rukia, he said, "Name's Chase." He glanced at Jake for a moment before turning back to her.

"Wish I could, but I don't have any swim gear on me," she said with a chuckle. She then looked to the guy who just introduced himself and smiled back at him. "Nice to meet you-- I'm Rukia."
It did look like it would be a nice day to swim-- she would have to invest in some swim gear later to go swimming. "I think we might have to go get some swim stuff at some point-- it looks like a nice day to jump in." She then turned to Chase. "Are you from around here?"
