Harri stood in a music store, flipping through some old CDs. She was looking to replace her music collection, which she had left when she "died". It would have been too much of a noticeable thing if her entire music collection had disappeared along with her. However, she had taken a few choice disks, nothing that her parents would have really noticed.
She pulled a CD of her father's older comedy sketches and chewed on her lip as she stared at it. She closed her eyes and replaced it. No...That life is behind me.... She let out a sigh, tucking her red hair behind her ear.
She paid for her CDs and headed outside, looking up and squinting in the sun. It was a fairly nice day out. She slid her bag around her wrist and began walking.

Rukia had found herself in the clothing shop, not needing any new writing materials at the moment. She had all the pencils she needed and she had a spare notebook to write in to keep her occupied. Though, she was beginning to get annoyed at the clothes she found, particularly the jeans. Most of them were made for girls that were shorter than her while the ones that had the leg length were too baggy.
Sighing, she picked up a pair that looked somewhat decent before moving on to other articles of clothing. Shirts she had enough of, but one thing that she would need here was a new coat of some sort-- the lab coat for the vet clinic wouldn't suffice for the harsh cold New England could bring. Looking at a few overcoats, she saw a black one that caught her eye. Grabbing it, she kept looking around the store for anything of interest.

Too emo. Too punk. Too preppy. To hippie. Geez! Way to expensive. Nancy sifted through piles of clearanced clothes, not to far from where Rukia stood. Her wardrobe was still pretty thin and when Rukia had suggested shopping, Nancy had jumped for it. Finally she found a shirt that she liked. She checked the tag and it was well within her budget.
She held it up in front of her. It looked perfect to her and the size was the right one. With the shirt still in front of her, she looked over to Rukia. "Hey Rue. What do you think about this?" Mentally, Nancy was running over all of the combinations of clothes she could make with it. She had a skirt that matched the color very well. She had two pairs of shoes that could go with it. She also had a jacket that also went with about six other outfits. But sometimes Nancy bought first and then decided that she didn't like it later. So she asked Rukia, who she tohught had very sensible taste.

Maya glanced over at the shirt that Nancy held up. It was nice, but not her colour. Maybe there were more. She wouldn't poke her nose into the rack unless Nancy decided against the shirt. Major friend no-no to buy the same shirt. Even if it was a different colour.
She glanced back down at the rack she was rifling through. Nothing here was appealing to her. She moved onto the next rack. "So girls, while we're out and not thinking about missions and stuff... how are things?"

Rukia turned around to the sound of her name, seeing Nancy holding up a nice-looking shirt. "Ooh, I like that one. I think it'll good on you," she told her. Now she just needed to find shirts that would look decent on her. She held up an orange one to herself, then shaking her head.
Maya then approached them, asking simply how things were. "Not too bad-- can't complain," Rukia answered, "Work's been reasonable too and I haven't seen the crazy cat lady for a while. I never thought I'd enjoy working at a vet's office."
It was true-- Rukia had never worked in that sort of place around animals. Yeah, she would prefer to be doing something where she could use her writing skills, but that would have to wait a while.

Nanacy agreed with Rukia so she held the shirt in one hand while she moved over to another rack where some interesting shirts were at. They were tie-dye! Most were the generic rainbow spiral, but a few others had varying color assortments. As she checked the price on one, she heard Maya ask about things. And she heard Rue respond.
So it was her turn. Nancy turned a bit so she could look directly at Maya before she answered, "Well, everything is pretty much the same. Except for the new baby bear born last week. It was so adorable!" She turned towards Rukia, who probably hadn't seen it since she worked somewhere else. "It was really small and fuzzy with short black fur all over it! It could've passed as a teddy bear! But other than that, no change." Nancy added the tie-dye shirt to her arm when she began looking for another deal.

Harri walked into the clothing store next, shifting the bag to her arm. She went over to a table that had tie-dye shirts and happened to hear the last bit of a conversation about bears. She smiled at the thought, holding up a shirt. She tilted her head, chewing on her lip. She wasn't sure. She threw it over her arm.
She moved on, heading over for a clearance rack. "There is just nothing here my size," she muttered. She scratched her head, looking at another shirt. There wasn't anything she liked. Then she found something and held it up, letting the bag around her arm slipped. It fell with a clatter. She didn't notice as she looked at the blue skirt. She wasn't sure if she needed it, but it was cute. Plus, the price was pretty good.

Maya smiled at the other girl passing by and then turned back to the others. "A baby bear? How come I never heard about it? Man, I miss everything in the canteen. It's like I don't exist..." she shook her head, thinking about her lame job at the zoo. Well... maybe it wasn't so bad. She didn't have to shovel animal droppings...
She sighed. "My work news is generally limited to 'what sort of bratty kid demanded snacks and ice cream from his mom today?' and 'Which flavour did I run out of this time, making said mother yell at me?'" It was then that she noticed the girl near them drop her bag. She didn't seem to notice as she was inspecting a piece of clothing quite closely. She headed over and picked it up. "Excuse me, sorry... you dropped this..."
