Chase walked through the city night getting a feel for the streets. Really he should have been at rehearsal, but it wasn't like he needed the practice. He could do the bike sphere with a blindfold on. In fact, he probably would, that would definitely impress the crowd. As he kept walking he spotted what looked like a nice place to get a burger. Without much in the way of second thoughts he went in and got a seat near the window. The place looked like a dinner right out of the fifties. Guess that makes me a Greaser. Chase mused to himself.

Ooh! Ooh! A candy wrapper! There might be something in it! Nancy fluttered down and landed on the sidewalk outside of some retro diner. She was hardly aware of that fact though, as he began probing the wrapper for chocolate or something. Then she gradually caught on. Woah, what am I doing? Oh wait. GROSS! Eww! Yuck! Nancy regained control over her morph and jumped back from the wrapper.
Nancy had decided that she finally need to build up her nerve and actually try morphing the raven. Once she did, it had been non-stop for forty-five minutes, seeing trash, trying to eat it. See a bird. Attack or harass. Or see a candy wrapper. Gorge! So Nancy was getting pretty worn out of having to deal with the bird. Then she saw a man and a little kid just staring at her from the entrance of the diner.
Oh yeah, I guess ravens don't suddenly jump away from food or stand on the sidewalk still. Oops! To try to correct her mistake, Nancy lifted one wing a bit and poked at her arm with her beak a few times. Then she loked back up and stared at the people. They were going inside. Good. I hope nobody else saw that. I've got to work on this morph.

((Sorry I took so long, it's been a crazy week)) After years of racing Chase had learned to always pay attention to what was going on around him, after all when you're going over a hundred on something as small as a bike the tiniest mistake could lead to becoming hamburger meat. So when he saw a raven acting weird just out side the window his curiosity was piqued. Having read the brief that the SPECTER agent had given him he knew there were other animorphs in town that he was supposed to have met, and they would probably have morphs that would fit into a city. With that in mind Chase tapped on the window to get the birds attention. Then he used his breath to fog up the glass and write a quick message. Demorph and meet in Back Without a second thought Chase got out of his seat and went through the back door. He pulled out a pack of cigarettes and lit one while he waited.

((That's okay as long as you eventually get on. )) Nancy turned her gaze to the windows of the diner. Two people were talking in the first one. Three people were eating something brown in the next one. In the third window, a guy was writing something on the window. That got her attention. The guy writing it was staring out and could've seen her. Nancy turned and walked diagonally towards the diner wall. She kept her head turned down and bobbing as she walked, trying to look like your everyday raven. She glanced up at the person in the window out of the corner of her eye. He was gone. And the message was rapidly doing the same. emorph and meet in bac. Demorph and meet in back? Was this a new Animorph? How else would he know about morphing. Nancy decided not to take amny chances. She flapped her qings and quickly gained altitude. She was quickly floating above the diner, a patch of black against the dark blue sky. Ravens weren't much of nighttime birds, but Nancy could see easily enough with all of the streetlights and businesses still open. She'd have to go home soon. She preferred getting up early in the morning and she couldn't do that if she went to bed late. Nancy glided down and landed on the edge of the roof on the back of the diner. She peered down and saw the red glow of a just lit cigarette flare up. That was the guy. She backed up a few steps so that she would hopefully not be visible from the street. Then she said, <<Who are you? What do you want?>>
