Bruno stepped out of the cab and looked at the house. Not bad, he thought to himself. I just hope this goes smoothly. He pulled the suitcase that SPECTER provided for him out of the cab and closed the door. He headed toward the front door as the cab driver sped away.
Supposedly there were supposed to be other people already living here. Other animorphs. Boy that would take some getting used to. He hadn't actually acquired or morphed anything yet, but he could. And that was a strange feeling.
When he reached the front door, Bruno raised up one of his large fists and knocked. He had a key, but figured it was best if he didn't just walk in. People tended to be a bit intimidated by his presence, so he didn't want to start off on the wrong foot by just walking in. As he waited, he stared straight ahead at the top of the door frame.

"I'll get it!" Nancy yelled through the house. She turned the vacuum cleaner off and the roar died away. The cleaning schedule was pretty infrequent around there and most of the time, it was forgotten until someone, usually a girl, noticed that a certain thing needed to be done. Nancy had happened to notice that there was a higher amount of chip slivers and bits of dirt all over the living room floor. So she had informed everyone in the house that she would be vacuuming the room, so no TV in there.
Nancy dragged the machine over and leaned it against the arm of the couch before walking to the door. She was barefoot. She loved feeling freshly-vacuum carpet, it stood up straight and was really soft. Most people thought it was weird, but it was just something about Nancy.
Nancy glanced out of the peephole more from habit than anything but she didn't pay attention to what she saw. She opened the door and just said, "Oh wow!" She looked at the really tall and muscular guy in front of her. She wasn't really into dating, but she could still appreciate a nice body. Then she realized that she was just staring. "Oh I'm sory," she said, her cheeks starting to flush. "Hi, what can I do for you?" MAya and Rue had better never hear about the incident.

When the girl answered the door, Bruno ducked his head down slightly to get a better look at her. He wasn't surprised by her reaction one bit. He held up his suitcase when she asked what he was there for. "I'm moving in."
Before the pause in conversation could get awkward, Bruno held out his hand for a hand shake. "You can call me Bruno. This is all new to me, so I hope you can tell me what I'm supposed to be doing here. The explanation I was given seemed kind of... vague." Bruno suddenly realized there were about a million more questions he should have asked SPECTER, but he also knew he probably wouldn't have been given the answers anyway. But still...

The guy was very straightforward. He announced that he was moving in and stuck out a paw for Nancy to shake. She did so, but afterwards she discreetly checked her hand to make sure it was still in one piece and there were no broken bones. "So you're from SPECTER? Oh, okay. Come in, come in." Nancy gave the man a warm smile as she moved to the side to allow him access to the house.
"Well, hello Bruno and welcome. I'm Nancy and the others are...around," She said after taking a moment to think of it. Then she pointed to the stairs in the living room and said, "Those lead to a hallway with some bedrooms. You can pick any empty one you like. Go ahead and make yourself at home, but you may not want to turn the TV on since I'm vacuuming." THere, Nancy indicated the dirt-sucking contraption behind her.

"Mmh," was all Bruno said in reply. He wasn't sure what else to say. He was not much of a conversationalist. Perhaps he would have to change that.
He squeezed through the door-frame and headed toward the steps. When he got one of his feet on the first step he stopped. Turning toward, Nancy was it, he asked, "So is it true? We can really shapeshift into animals?" Bruno was a bit embarrassed by his question, but he was curious. It seemed almost as if this was all a dream that he would wake up from at any moment.
"Have you done it before? Morphed?"

Nancy closed the door behind Bruno and walked behind him until she got to the vacuum. she was about to turn it on and continue her chore when she heard Bruno ask a question. My, my, this guy isn't too talkative. Either that or not too bright. Wait, no, don't get ahead of yourself, girl. SPECTER may just have told him something funny.
Nancy turned to face the much taller guy and said, "Oh, yeah, it's true. Any animal you can touch. And yes, I've done it a few times. It's really cool, depending on what you do. And plus you have to constantly deal with the animal mind which can be good or bad. It's really fun." Nancy smiled again and turned her back to the man, simultaneously switching on the vacuum and once again embark on her quest to defeat the evil food bits.
As an afterthought, she yelled, "Hey everyone! We got a roommate!"

Bruno just nodded thoughtfully when Nancy answered his question. He turned and headed up the stairs when he heard the vacuum come to life. A smile crossed his face when he was halfway up the stairs and he heard Nancy yell that they had a new roommate. It seemed weird to think of himself as a roommate.
Bruno walked a short distance down a hall at the top of the steps and opened a door. The room looked unused so he decided to claim it. So far he still hadn't seen anyone else, so he left the door open for any visitors and got to work setting up his new room. He started humming to himself as he did.
