Since this site is just starting out, you guys get to be the lucky ones to help set up what is going to happen. Right now the overall plot is extremely flexible, which isn't a bad thing, but some people like to have a bit more direction when deciding what to post. For this reason I decided that we could lay out some events, ideas, and suggestions for what could happen further down the line.
Keep in mind that nothing in this thread is 100% decided and can still be changed. That being said, feel free to add in your own ideas or elaborate on what I put down so far. I am going to be extremely general with the ideas I put down right now so that they can be easily changed. Blah, blah, blah. Here they are:
1) Eventually some people may get 'transfered' to other cities if SPECTER finds a threat there.
2) Maybe have the animorphs meet a yeerk nothlit or taxxon nothlit. Possibly even have them join the team.
3) Bring in some yeerks that escaped the end of the war and are making new controller. (not sure how major this would be to the plot yet)
4) Go into space for some reason.
5) Go out to the ocean for some reason.
6) Stop some terrorists.

I feel so special.
2) I like this one a lot, but I'm pretty biased about a yeerk-nothlit thing. but it is a cool idea. Maybe make it an NPC that anyone can play and have it in their heads? Sort of like whoever needs it most.
3) Maybe they could be working in tandem with a group of terrorists or something? I'm sure that a kingpin could hire the yeerks to infest opponents and such. The animorphs might hear of this somehow and we could have a lot of threads of them slowing piecing together the entire ring so that they can stop them.
4) Maybe another country has a super spy satellite that can hack into any electronic device and send the infromation back to their country? (we can make up a country for it) THe animorhps could sneak aboard a ship of technicians who are going to finish building it and the animorphs stop them (might involve morphing people).
5) Ocean. Maybe diffuse a nuclear sub? Or infiltrate an enemy (not sure who) submarine that is the most advanced of its time and can wipe out an entire fleet? THey all morph some sea creature to A) openly assualt it or B) swim aboard somehow and take it out from within.
Some vague possiblities.

Ha ha, for number two I meant a yeerk that is a nothlit. Not a nothlit trapped as a yeerk. Since at the end of the seres pretty much all of the yeerks still alive became nothlits, I figured there would be quite a few around. However, I suppose your interpretation could work too. I'm just not sure how someone would have acquired a yeerk. Although some controllers did have the morphing ability when the war ended, so it is possible I suppose. But they would need a yeerk pool or something, too.

Well, just because the Animorphs won, I don't know. Maybe some of the Yeerks stayed behind to help people with Amnesia or something? Therefore, they would need a Yeerk pool anyway. (Forgive me. Just got up xP) You know, like Yeerk Therapy. would that work? Also, they could go to the ocean to find a lost submarine, kind of like they did in Megamorphs 3: In the Time of Dinosaurs. (Or was it two or four, or ten??? okay, maybe not ten ) But they don't get bombed into the previous century. That's all I came up with so far, I'll be back I'm sure.

A character that was previously a yeerk would be very neat. Might be interesting to see if the other Animorphs have issues working with him/her.
I like the ideas for going into space or into the ocean.... just not sure how to make them work. I also like Johnny's one for the yeerks working with terrorists. It would be so cool to try and infiltrate such a group and find out information. A real test for the new Animorph security squad.
Lastly, I plan on Allie transferring somewhere eventually, but I'm hoping someone can go with her so she's not starting a new team all alone with no one she can trust. I think it would make sense too that a couple people are sent to new teams so you have more than one experienced member. Seems to be working pretty well on Aftermath.
I think that's all I have for now. I'll think on what sorts of things we can do with any of those ideas and see if there are more of my own I might come up with.
Also..... The Chee are still on earth, aren't they? Could we possibly need to work with one of them? I know they're designed for peace, but with gathering information one might be helpful.

I also like the idea of the yeerks working with terrorists. It will be interesting to see where that goes. Also, when a new city gets opened I will probably ask for volunteers and whoever wants to gan get transfered (They'll probably get a call from SPECTER IC). The sub idea could work too, but that one still seems like it needs quite a bit of planning.
And it is true, the chee are still on earth. However, they have gone back into hiding and nobody even knows they exist (except for Cassie, Toby, and maybe a couple others). They probably wouldn't make themselves known unless something extremely major happened. Especially considering how the animorphs 'used' Erik at the end of the series.

Well.... I was thinking the chee might be useful in stopping the terrorist cell. The chee could find out a while before we do and maybe contact us while we're partway through the search. Something where they debated the pros and cons, but decided informing us and stopping the cell is more important. They could even disappear afterward, like they still want to be in hiding and don't plan on making it a permanent alliance.

Well, do we even need the Chee for information? That's what SPECTER is also for, right? But it could be more fun with SPECTEr since they could be like "Go in there and destroy the ring, no matter what" and the Animorphs could be like "But we won't kill. We should make a nonlethal plan". It could show how most of them are still pretty young and innocent, a luxury not on Aftermath.
And you know, that could be a reason for starting Arbella. The terrorist ring is mostly located there so they send in special agents. Johnny, Rox (at least) for experience, the others for various reasons, like stealth or firepower.

maybe have some story arc with.... were they the kelbrid? they were mentioned at the end of the last book, the species that the andalites didnt know anything about, they just had a peace treaty with that says they will have absolutely no contact with them?
obviously, it would be a big thing, since any contact with them would break the treaty with the andalites and mean war... so i'm not sure where that could go

At some point, an off-world mission would be awesome. But, IMO, we should work with smaller things, on Earth, first.

Yeah I think there's lots to do on Earth first, not to mention really establishing characters first before sending them off to other planets. Get some history behind them all and their relations to each other first.

actually, i meant that they come to earth, but yeah, having it be an off world mission makes more sense. and i agree, off-world missions should wait.

Three ideas (one isn't really about plot, but I didn't want to waste a whole thread on it):
1) I suggest, for missions, small things right now, somewhat local for a majority of them. And then, once our characters seem rather settled and comfy, and feel like, well, this isn't so bad...something big, and serious, comes along. Something that may impact the nation, or the world itself. Something that only THEY can prevent. It's a huge wake-up call for them.
1a) Perhaps this is for a character plot: a plot involves the life of a loved one. They must save that loved one, but not reveal who they are. And it causes a lot of internal conflict. After all, most of them are "dead."
2) This is a question. On missions, I bet certain kinds of morphs (for example, to get through a cave, the Animorphs in the books all acquired and morphed bats) will be needed. It's only realistic, IMO. What if there is such a mission on here? Would those who don't have the morphs have to acquire them from their post-count, or would they all get them? I think the latter would be best, and it wouldn't be cheap, IMO. Since most people would want to save their morph pool for their diverse animal collection that makes this site's characters unique.
Just things I'd love it if you guys would think about. ^.^

does specter encourage the kind of small missions where say, to use a cliche,
[animorph] is walking down the street when [he/she] sees someone stealing someone else's [purse/wallet]. [animorph] ducks into a telephone booth, comes out in a battle morph, and mauls the robber.
things like that? (only with more than one animorph) like maybe some people witness a kidnapping, and so one or two take to the sky to track the getaway vehicle and some other people follow on the ground and try to stop the vehicle...
one more question, if the animorphs were to go on missions in human morph (ie, in the mission above, chasing the kidnappers in another car), would specter put their foot down, or are they allowed to deal with situations as they like?

SPECTER encourages the animorphs to help where possible, but they also encourage the animorphs to go to great lengths to keep their secrecy. In the good old days before everyone knew about the andalite morphing technology, a wild animal jumping out of a phone booth could have been written off as a bad tabloid story, but unfortunately for the new animorphs, that isn't the case any more. But other than that, SPECTER doesn't really care how you deal with a situation as long as it isn't over the top (i.e. blowing up a building full of possible criminals). Human morphs are 100% acceptable as far as they are concerned. You know, as long as it wasn't an agent that you acquired.
