She could not believe it. She could morph. She could become any animal that she could touch. She was a bit afraid, she had to admit; she hadn't yet tried to morph, or tried to acquire an animal. But she didn't have to worry much about that. There were people in Hemington who'd been morphing for longer than her. And she couldn't wait to meet them. She hoped they would be nice people, and welcoming - she didn't want to feel like an outsider.
She'd been lucky to be able to keep her car, though the license plate had been changed. She'd driven there. It had been quite a roadtrip, but she'd had a good time - fast food, cheap motels. That was, sort of, an adventure in itself.
But that was merely the tip of the iceburg. After parking her car in the driveway, she left it and walked to the door, then rang the bell. The place looked a bit...run-down?

Nancy sighed as she shut her science book. Every time she got in the groove of doing her homework, the doorbell rang. Every single time. It was always a little girl selling Girl Scout Cookies, a deliveryman, someone who got locked out the house, or something! Nancy placed her book on the couch, making sure not to lose her page number, and then got up to answer the door. On the way there, she threw on a jacket since opening the door would let the colder winter air in.
When she opened the door, Nancy shivered a bit in the breeze and saw a girl standing there, who looked a few years younger than herself. "Can I help you?" Nancy asked sweetly, wondering why the girl was there. She wasn't holding any magazines or catalogs, and there was no truck or anything parked in the middle of the road that could give her an idea of what the girl's job was. Then again, maybe it was a friend of one of her housemates. But they hadn't said anything.
These thoughts stayed in the back of Nancy's mind. She didn't want to think too much at the moment, since she still had her homework to do. It was amazing, you'd think that someone who could turn into animals would be able to get a 100% on everything in Biology.

((OOC: If this post is left unfinished, it will be because the bus has arrived. Will alter it when I get back from class)).
It was indeed cold out here, and Madeline didn't really have much in the way of warm clothing, aside from a long-sleeved shirt, and a turtlenecked sweatshirt with a zip-up from. Needless to say, she was freezing out here.
She took in the appearance of the girl who had answered the door. She seemed a friendly person, judging by her expression, and by her looks. Madeline hoped she was one of the Animorphs. She was certain this was the right place. "My name is Madeline. Madeline Larson. I'm here about..."
She didn't see much issue with a slight mention - if this was indeed an Animorph, she'd know what SPECTER was. If not, she'd just find Madeline crazy. She decided not to mention the agency yet. "I'm sort of new to the area. Someone told me I'll be moving in here." She hoped this girl would understand what she was talking about.

((It's okay. And sorry about the horrendous wait before my post. ))
Apparently, Nancy hadn't put two and two together yet. "Um, who told you to move in here? We didn't recieve word about anyone one. Are you sure you've got the right address? There's a few apartments for rent just down the road." She bit her lip as she quickly pointed in a general direction, slowly freezing as the cold infiltrated her thin sweater. It didn't help that she was only wearing socks as well.
As Nancy waited for a reply, a few quick thoughts ran through her mind. The girl definitely wasn't selling something and she hadn't said anything about being a friend of someone. Her story seemed plausible, but who would tell her to move in there? Surely the girl had misheard or misread her instructions. Probably a freshmen, Nancy thought, referring to the possibility of the girl starting up at the local college. But Nancy was happy to help the girl out anyways, even if she had the wrong address and would never see her again in her life.
As another gust of wind blew through the doorway, Nancy invited the person in. "Would you mind coming in for a moment? It's pretty chilly out here." Nancy smiled sincerely and stepped back from the doorway, showing off part of the living room.

((Ditto. At least we've got activity!))
She asked Madeline who told her to come here, and if she had the right address. Madeline had memorised it, and she was absolutely sure. It was cold here; she was grateful when the other girl - who hadn't given her a name - allowed her inside. "Thanks," she said.
She had to be careful still; she spoke again as she came inside, and the door was shut so that cold air wouldn't enter. She glanced about. The place was rather quaint. If this was indeed the place, it would be quite an adventure. Madeline loved adventures.
She decided to get right to the point, since if this girl wasn't a fellow morpher then she'd just think Madeline was strange. "You wouldn't happen to know of SPECTER, would you?" If she didn't know what that was, then Madeline would know she had the wrong place. If she did...then thank goodness.
"What's your name, by the way?" She had given hers prior. She smiled at the other girl.
