[shadow=red,left,300]Appearance: [/shadow]
At 5’6, Kat is average sized, some may call her slim but she doesn’t pay too much attention to their comments. Her shoulder-length dark blonde hair used to be a dark brown but soon after her 5th birthday it fell out and surprisingly grew back in its now dark golden hue. With its dry texture, it usually sits in ringlets but, depending on the weather, it could straighten itself out.
Her light green eyes are quite strange and her Mother gave her the name Kat for her eyes resembled their pet cats own emerald color.
She usually sticks to her cutoff jerseys which sit just over her bellybutton and her long-skimmed jeans are always accompanied by a pocketed belt of some sort. Her black sneakers are rarely not seen on her feet. For some reason she loves these old trainers.
[shadow=red,left,300]Personality: [/shadow]
A strange character, with a bored expression on her face a lot of the time, she always wants to be entertained and grew up looking for adventure. Once she left school, her hopes of adventure faded, leaving her with an almost emptiness in the back of her mind.
She loves fun and can usually be found getting into serious trouble but honestly is a kind-hearted person and can’t go five minutes without cooing at a pretty puppy or a cute kitten.
She is quite vain and could spend an hour just making sure she looks fit enough to venture out her front door, once the daylight hits her eyes she mentally prepares herself for whatever kind of day lies ahead.
Her feline-like eyes help her meet new people and she has a wide social circle, but none of the people she knows can be called a ‘close friend.’
Until that twist of fate came along, her fears of being an outcast were growing but now, a new dawn appears to be coming.
[shadow=red,left,300]Biography: [/shadow]
Living in the countryside, Kat grew up alone with her mother and older brother. The nature was fabulous and the two siblings would venture out into the small pastures and take photographs of wildlife. Although they had no pets of their own, Kat loved helping her school friends look after theirs and soon she began to study veterinary science once she left school.
Two years before heading off to college, Kat’s mother disappeared leaving her two children to cope with losing their lovely home.
David, Kat’s Brother, had to leave soon after. He had a scholarship for photography and couldn’t bear to pass it up.
Thus the 16 year old was forced to move into a foster home. Here she dreamed of getting away but alas, nothing happened and once she turned 18 she shipped out of the crowded home and found an apartment of her own.
Now, after studying veterinary science in her high school, she’s taking a proper course in college and is awaiting her assistant status in the Private Pet Caretaker service to be accepted.

One night, after finishing her late night class, Kat walked home down the wet street. Rain had fallen before but now the black sky glowed ominously with a light grey aura which cast an eerie shadow over the dark-haired girl…Wrapping her scarf tightly around her exposed neck, Kat shivered and stepped up her pace, hoping to get home to her small apartment before her ungloved hands froze and fell off.
Turning to jog down the second last corner, her annoyance showed as she slowed down. An older man stood in the shadows, his capped head bent low. As her squelching footsteps alerted him of her presence, he too began to walk but he kept his darkened face to the ground.
Kat watched him for a moment, his long trench coat seemed too vintage for the weather which they were experiencing at the moment.
’Evening.’
His soft voice somehow rang out clearly in the deserted street and Kat felt her neck hairs rise, she didn’t feel comfortable anymore.
’Not really evening anymore.’ She spoke quickly, eager to get home and curl up by her radiator with a chocolate bar and a glass of coke.
The man laughed and finally revealed his face. It was quite pale, but creamy with faded freckles just at the apples of his cheeks and his curly black hair could be seen from under his hat.
Kat felt her fear evaporate, he wasn’t any older than she. He could go to my college. She thought excitedly.
Opening her mouth to ask, the boy spoke over her.
’Kat, right?’
Kat shut her mouth and grinned. ’Yeah.’
He definitely goes to my school.
’Still want that adventure?’
The blond froze, her smile fading faster than her lest tan. ’Excuse me?’ She breathed.
The boy laughed once more, humored at her expression. He let his gloved hand flit into his large pocket and pulled out a dark blue notebook. Kat’s shocked expression morphed into one of pure fury.
’Give me back my diary!’ She snarled, ripping it out of his outstretched hand. ’How the hell were you in my apartment!’
Her eyes were wide and she could feel her mouth curl dangerously to the right.
’Not important.’ The boy waved his hand carelessly which made the young adult fume that much more.
’What is important is that you need to know something.’
Kat shook her head roughly, causing her dark grey hood to fall off her head of blonde curls.
’Get lost.’ She walked past the dark-haired boy, purposefully knocking into him as she went to cross the street.
’Hold on!’
The sound of pattering footsteps caused Kat to turn and snap once more.
’GO!
The boy stopped moving and the two of them just stood in the center of the street, staring at each other; daring the other to move first.
’You know.’ He said quietly, holding his hands above his head to show he meant no harm. ’Something’s not right.’
Kat let out a dark laugh. ’What are you talking about?’
The boy smirked; ’The universe is in need of you.’ He said, walking towards her.
Kat turned quickly and ran up the steps which led to her small room.
’Bye bye!’ She sneered, slamming the door in the blue-eyed boy’s face and quickly running up the stairs into her room…
So to sum this little piece up, The boy made his way into her apartment and managed to tell her the story of Animorphs and the Yeerks. After a couple of days, Kat agreed and thus was brought to a small abandoned storage place where she received her powers and learned the ways of the Animorphs.

A Somali Cat, Her pet in the city where she now resides.
After her brother moved away, Kat had to find a small and cheap place to live on her own. Feeling extremely lonely she decided to get her first pet and managed to score a pretty cheap Somali breed.
Once acquiring her powers, she decided to test it out on Lightning, the cat’s name, and thus her journey began.
