(Posting so I don't have to save the notepad doc overnight.)
Name: Alison (Allie) Hanson
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Appearance: Allie has dark brown hair that she keeps fairly long despite it being the most feminine aspect of her style. She has brown eyes that are a slightly lighter shade than her hair. She tends to like dark colors and an ensemble consisting of a shirt or tank top, jeans, and a jacket.
Personality: Allie is a little less trusting at first, but she's never had anyone very close to her. A lot of her friends in the orphanage either were adopted before she'd gotten to know them or became hardened with time and drifted away from her. She had somewhat let it get to her too, though tries not to let it show.
Allie sometimes feels like she doesn't know who she is because of never having anything to define herself by. She's never had a family or close friends, so she's had to find herself alone.
Overall she is confident and loyal when she's found a cause to stick to. She tries to stick to a set of morals that she had to define for herself. Sometimes she wonders how life could have been different, but tries not to dwell on it and be satisfied with where she's at.
Biography: Allie has never really known who she was. She was orphaned as an infant, too young to remember her parents. She spent all of her life that she can remember in an institution. When she hit her teenage years, trying to define herself when all she'd never had a family to tell her who she was wasn't an easy task.
At eighteen she became and adult and had to move out on her own, never having a family and always living a solitary life. She started college and took up a simple office job to pay for her tuition outside of her student loans. Her life was average before SPECTER approached her.
After the invasion she took a distinct interest in the Animorphs, kids who had led a secret life unable to trust those around them. She had to wonder how that was like, but she'd never had anyone to trust to begin with. Still, the Animorphs and that war they'd waged against the yeerks stuck out as something amazing to her and made her wonder if she could have made the same sacrifices they had, though not really knowing what making those sacrifices were like.
How they were recruited:
Allie arrived at her job on time, but as always just wanted to get out of here. It wasn't a job she enjoyed, it was one she put up with. It was the only way she was going to get through her college education and not have a boatload of loans to pay off.
There was one odd thing about today though, there was a note on her desk. She opened the cream colored envelop to find a plain piece of white paper with a simple message typed on it. "We will be waiting when you get off work." The message was signed with a stamp reading "SPECTER."
The whole time she wondered what was happening and it caused her to mess up a few tasks that she normally wouldn't have. The boss seemed to notice how agitated she was and wrote it off as a simple mistake, though not one that would go unpunished after today.
When her work was done she spent several minutes debating not leaving the building, but she had no choice. She walked out onto the street and a car pulled up. It was a stretch limo with tinted windows, the last of which rolled down as it reached Allie. Inside was a woman with a distinctly Asian appearance.
"Alison Hanson?" the woman said.
"Yes," Allie answered slightly apprehensively.
"My name is Agent Vixen," the woman said as she flashed a badge. "Please get in the car, we need to talk."
"I don't understand. What have I done?"
"Nothing wrong. You've done quite a bit right in fact. That is why I'm here to talk to you." After glancing to either side of the street Agent Vixen said, "Now please, it will be much easier to explain this when we are on our way."
Still nervous Allie's gaze followed Agent Vixen's. They were alone on the street. No one would know if Allie went missing. Still, the badge had looked authentic. Allie bit her lip and glanced down the street again, then climbed in the car and took a seat facing Agent Vixen.
Once the car had started moving, the agent spoke again. "I am here to offer you a job on behalf of your government."
Allie gave her a disbelieving look. "A job? I'm nineteen, what does the government want with me?"
"You have heard of the Animorphs, correct? Jake, Cassie, Rachel, Marco, Tobias, and Aximili. Your job would be similar to theirs, an Animorph, a defense between earth and anything that would harm it."
Allie was confused. It was like her dream come true, and yet it was far too perfect. That, and she, like anyone else, had thought that earth was safe after the yeerks had been defeated. "I don't understand. I thought the yeerks were gone."
Agent Vixen laughed slightly, though it was hard to tell if she actually found what Allie had said funny or just did that for show. It was the only break from her utterly business-like demeanor. "The yeerks weren't all destroyed. Some escaped. We don't know if or when they will return. Also, it's hardly as if they are the only threat that exists for the earth."
Allie thought about it. She had one other question that was nagging her. "Why me?"
"The selection process is classified," Agent Vixen said. "Even if I wanted to I couldn't tell you what it was that caused us to pick you or any of the other Animorphs you will be working with."
This was Allie's dream come true in some respects, though it would never give her an idea of what the original Animorphs had lived with. She thought about it for a moment, finally realizing that this was real and a limited time offer. She wouldn't get to change her mind. "I accept."
"Excellent," said Vixen, reaching into a bag next to her and pulling out a manila envelope with papers in it and a pen, both of which she extended to Allie. "You just need to sign here and then we can get to work on faking your death and moving you to Mariposa."
Allie had accepted the papers and pen and had just been about to sign when this had been said. "Wait, faking my death?" She looked up and saw that Vixen was completely serious. "I can understand moving to where you need me, but why faking my death?"
"It's for your own protection Alison," said Vixen. "As well as for the protection of SPECTER, the agency I represent." She saw Allie's apprehension. "The original Animorphs made sacrifices too Alison. Besides, SPECTER will provide you with housing among your Animorph teammates and a job that will take you in close proximity to animals to give you the best opportunity for acquiring them. You won't be starting over with nothing."
Allie thought about it. What she'd said was true, but the original Animorphs had still had a life to go back to when it was over. But that's when it was over, Allie reminded herself. How can I ever be sure this would be over. This is a permanent protection of the earth, not a war. She was losing everything she had, which admittedly wasn't much but it was an identity she'd scraped together all on her own.
The pen was poised over the paper and she heard Vixen sigh and start giving the driver directions to take Allie home. "No," Allie said. "I'll do it." As if to prove her conviction she quickly signed the documents, the ink sealing the end of who she had been and the beginning of who she would become.
Preferred Job: Ranch Hand: Taking care of the animals and doing random jobs.
First morph: Tuxedo Bi-color Cat. It's one of the barn cats on the ranch, used to hunt the mice in the barn. Allie was so dumbstruck when the whole thing with SPECTER happened that she didn't really test the power until she arrived in Mariposa. She acquired the cat after deciding to start with one of the smaller animals on the ranch.
