Name: Sebastian “Bruno” Patel
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Appearance: Bruno is huge, simple as that. He stands at just over seven feet tall and his muscular body weighs in at around 400 pounds. He has somewhat long, curly, dark hair, and dark eyes. He also tends to have a very intimidating look to him.
Personality: Bruno solves most of his problems through force. Not necessarily because he wants to, but because that’s what people expect him to do. Although he is somewhat quick to anger, he usually holds his anger in. Especially if it is a girl that he is angry at.
Biography: Bruno grew up in the U.S. city of Seattle. He got average grades in school, and probably could have done better, but nobody expected him to, so he didn’t. Due to Bruno’s large size and strength, he found a place on many of the school’s sport’s teams.
After high school, Bruno went to a nearby college for a while before getting drug into the world of underground brawling. This is when Bruno really stopped using his true name, Sebastian, and started going by his stage name of Bruno. He never really liked his given name very much, so he had no complaints about the switch.
It wasn’t long after he began fighting in illegal underground brawls that he dropped out of college. Bruno generally won more matches than he lost, and so he was able to make a decent living off of his winnings. He wasn’t happy with this lifestyle, but it worked. He didn’t really have many other options. At least not until he was contacted by SPECTER…
How they were recruited: Bruno felt his fist connect and heard a thud on the ground shortly after. The crowd cheered and Bruno knew then that he had won. He wiped the sweat and blood from his eyes and looked down at the man who was half his size. Poor guy never stood a chance. Bruno raised his hands over his head in victory, just like the crowd expected him to do, and the cheering intensified once more.
After wiping off with a towel and collecting his cut from the winnings, Bruno headed for the door to the barn that held this week’s match. He didn’t want to stay for the next match. These fights didn’t really interest him. The only reason he fought in the first place was so that he could put food on his table and pay rent.
The cool night air met his face as he left the barn. Just as he turned to head over to the field where his car was parked, a feminine voice met his ears. “Nice match, Sebastian. You really showed that guy what you were made of.” There was a hint of bitterness in the woman’s voice. He turned to see a middle-aged woman in a white suit. “My name is Agent McCormack. If you have the time, I have a business proposition for you.”
Bruno turned away immediately and continued walking to his car. “Not interested. Go find someone else to fight for you.” It seemed that every other week there was some scouting agent who wanted to buy him and own him as if he were a piece of property. A piece of property that fought in illegal brawling matches like he was already doing, but property just the same.
The woman walked briskly in order to keep up with him. It seemed she wasn’t going to give up so easily. “Mr. Patel, I am not here for that. Not really. I had something more interesting in mind. Something more… exotic. I know as well as you do that you don’t want to live out your life like this, Sebastian. Just hear me out.”
He stopped and turned to face her once again. “Stop calling me that. I go by Bruno now. I-“ Then he noticed the woman was casually holding a badge up. Was she a cop? No, that wasn’t a police badge, and she called herself an agent. FBI maybe? “What is this? What’s going on?”
“I represent a government organization that is much like your fighting club. In that they are both kept hush-hush from the general public.”
Bruno had to admit, he was definitely interested. “So are you going to shut us down or something?”
The woman just laughed. “No. I’m afraid things as minor as this don’t really interest us. As I told you before, I have a business proposition for you. You know of the animorphs, correct?” Bruno just nodded impatiently. She might as well have ask if he knew the sun rose in the east. Everyone knew the animorphs.
She continued, “Well, we are forming a sort of reproduction of the animorphs group. And we would like you to be a member. You would be given the ability to morph and join a group of morphers who have already been established on the other side of the country. So what do you say? Up for a change of pace?”
He didn’t know what to think. It was all so unexpected and sudden. He had never even considered this being an option in his life before. Then an all too obvious question popped out of his mouth. “Wait, why do you want me?”
Agent McCormack smiled. “Because we knew you would say yes.” And with that she opened the door to Bruno’s car and hopped in. “Come on, I’ll tell you where to go.” Bruno realized he hadn’t actually agreed to do it, but for some reason that didn’t matter. He slid into the driver’s seat and turned the key in the ignition. And just like that, Bruno’s life was flipped upside-down.
Preferred Job: Petting Zoo. He feeds the animals, cleans pens, and drives the trailer when the petting zoo transports animals to special events.
First morph: Peacock. There were several peacocks that lived at the petting zoo (although they were mostly for show, and not petting) and Bruno thought acquiring one might be a good choice for trying out the andalite morphing technology. So he acquired one while giving them their food for the day.
