(ooc: wanted to rp my next morph, since it seemed like it was a bit out of the ordinary.)
Jeremy's shift was done. He gave one more look over the cage that held an unusually large peregrine falcon. This falcon had been the source of his first morph, and he showed his gratitude. It got him some weird looks from his coworkers, but he was a weird person these days, so he didn't mind.
"You really love animals, don't you?" someone behind him asked. He turned and found one of the newer workers. "You seem really close to them," he said. Jeremy couldn't begin to imagine what he was talking about.
"I... I guess," he said, taken aback. Well, when you can turn into them, yes, you probably seem a lot closer to them.
"Do you like wolves?" the new guy said. Wolves? Where was this going?
"Yeah," Jeremy said. He really did. He thought wolves were great animals, but he just didn't care that much.
"Did you get to see those wolves that just showed up around here?" Jeremy's puzzled look was answer enough, apparently. "Come on, I'll show you." He started to walk away. Jeremy shrugged and followed. It wasn't like he had very much else to do.
"I don't have a lot of time," he said. "I need to get home." The new guy didn't seem to hear. "This is a bird refuge. Why would we have wolves?" Still no answer. However, around another corner, there it was. A pen with two wolves in it. Well, what do you know. He walked up to the pen. Glancing around, he petted the nearest wolf on the head.
"Why are these wolves here?" he asked. He looked around in surprise. The new guy was gone like he'd never existed.
Wolves where they shouldn't be. A random assumption that he loved animals. And the guy was new. "If I ever find out that that guy was from SPECTER...." Jeremy muttered under his breath. He went home.
