Third character for Jamilan/Leopold (Crimea River). Permission granted by Leroy.
Name: Madeline Larson
Gender: Female
Age: 23
Species: Human
Face Claim: Katie Holmes
City: Hemington
Appearance:
Madeline can be described as pretty – very pretty, and vibrantly youthful, maybe appearing younger than she truly is. She is Caucasian, and her long brown hair falls down her back. She usually lets it fly free. Her eyes are an inquisitive brown, and her lips are red and full. Madeline’s a pretty casual person – she tends to wear t-shirts and jeans, or sweat shirts and jeans, depending on the weather. For more formal events, she will wear a dress.
Personality:
Madeline is a very feminine person, and she is happy about her femininity. Regardless of this, she’s never dated a guy, but she’s certainly open. She tends to go where life takes her, not really thinking about the future but of the present. She’s not really used to big cities, being a rural person – but she’s certainly open to learning anything. She loves experiences, new and familiar. Sometimes she takes risks, but not when it endangers others. She’ll gladly help someone in need.
Biography:
A majority of her life was spent in the small town of Jonestown; this place had all that they really needed, even though it was a very small town that didn't even have a Wal-Mart. If ever they needed anything, the family would go into the big city, which was about an hour away. The father worked in the big city; the mother stayed home, taking care of three, and later four children.
Madeline had one older brother when she was born; his names were Clay, and he was 4 years older. When she was 6, her mother had a fourth child, and named him Garret, shortened to Gary later because Garret was considered to him to be a "stupid" name. It was odd, being the "baby" of the family and then accepting a new life into it, but Madeline did indeed get along. She loved animals; her room was full of stuffed animals, and she yearned to have a pet all her own.
When she was ten, yet another child was born, this time a sister, Trina. Madeline had to help out in taking care of the children, and as well, she had school to worry about. Her grades were average, though she enjoyed mathematics and reading, though writing she faltered in, which was strange because she was quite an actress - as her father would call her, his little "drama queen."
Her teen years were bittersweet. She could remember both good and bad things from them. Like a typical teenager, this was when she tended to "rebel" against her parents, whether they were doing her a favour or not. Madeline once tried a cigarette, because she was pressured into doing so. She was addicted afterwards, unfortunately. She would go to parties, but when a group of her friends drove home one night afterwards, and were involved in a crash, she vowed never to go to those parties again.
Her older brother Clay was involved in something called the Sharing. She didn't think much of it until he mysteriously disappeared one day. Unknown to her, he had indeed been killed in one of the Yeerks' many projects.
When she graduated high school, her parents booted her out. Well, sort of. They helped her find her way into a school, and her grandparents paid for her books and tuition. She graduated at age 22. It had come as a shock to her, when she learned that aliens such as Andalites and Yeerks were real, but it didn't overly affect her, aside from the desire to be able to morph. It was a dream...a dream that eventually became a reality.
How they were recruited:
She was driving home from her parents' house, when she noticed a strange blue car that had been following her the whole way. Confused, and afraid, she continued along on the long, country road. The car continued to pursue, and it was closing in on her.
Finally, she came upon a Texaco, and pulled into the parking lot. She got out of the car, and locked it, and ran into the convenient store. "There's someone following me," she said nervously to the man. She vowed she'd get herself a cell phone after this - though she really didn't have the funds. Maybe a TracPhone.
"Go into the back room, I'll handle this," he said, and she nodded, trusting this stranger. She found this was soon a mistake - or was it? He approached her. "I'm an agent of SPECTER," he said. "You may refer to me as Blumenthal."
"What is that?" she asked.
He didn't really answer. "SPECTER is recruiting young men and women for a very important project. We have been given the power of morphing - that is, becoming any animal you can touch - and we give this power to these youths so that they can fight crime and other threats to this nation or to Earth itself."
The power to morph! she thought with amazing. "And...I'm guessing you want me to join?"
He nodded. "Of course, if you decline, I will have to wipe your memory." He smiled.
"Okay..." She still couldn't believe it. This had to be some joke. But that same night she was taken by truck to a small warehouse, where she was to touch a blue cube. She was given a handbook which gave the rules of morphing, and the next day, was on an airplane to some place called Hemington...
She'd also been given a choice of a low-level job. She figured mall security would work; she was pretty good with people.
Preferred Job: Mall cop (if allowed)
First morph: She has yet to acquire and attempt her first morph. The reason is because I'd like to do it in an RP, and leave it up to "fate" to decide what she gets. (again, if allowed) Once it does happen, it will be edited in.
