Name: Evelyn Giorri Nickname; Eve, Evvy, Eva
Gender: Female
Age: Twenty
Appearance: Short and reasonably thin, Eve is a perfect shorter copy of her mother. With curly bark-brown hair and eyes brighter than the ocean blue, she can truly claim such heritage as her ancestry suggests. Her skin is rather pallid; though not from lack of laying in the sunshine. Long eyelashes can be seen framing Eve's bright blue eyes- Eyelashes as dark brown-black as her twisting curls. Elegantly arched eyebrows and pale lips complete her facial appearance, and the overall look makes her look the strong silent type. Silent yes, but Eve believes strong can never be the right word for her. She is, as mentioned, short. Standing at about 5"6, her lightly chubby form is politically 'malnourished' for a twenty year old, a fact she herself believes. As believing in such, Evelyn stuffs any food she can get her hands on into her mouth; A fact which, matched with her quietness, makes her a very strange cookie indeed.
Personality: Evelyn is very shy; Whether it be in conversation or actions her moves are always underhanded and hesitant. She is very skittish and flighty and has been known to slip out of conversations as easily as she slips into a river in fish morph. Mostly she tends to try and avoid speaking all that often- Being a person with a quiet and well-behaved nature. She seems the complete opposite of her human self when in morph- She'll become outgoing, talkative.... joyous when coated in scales, feathers, or fur. Everywhere but she reverts to her timid though highly alert state. No one is quite sure why she is as flighty and doe-eyed as she is, and you certainly won't hear the answer to the mystery fall from her lips.
Biography: Born into a rich and spoiled way of life, Eve started her first few years as pushy, arrogant, and bratty. She was privately tutored and went to no outside school- public or private. The majority of her life was spent in her household, and once her feet stepped outside the doors her parents couldn't keep her in. Unsure in the world she had walked into, at about twelve years of age all she knew was that she wanted to get away. There was no reason for this want- she had a pampered and comforting life. Food all the time, nice parents, a good education. Her life all but lacked one thing- Animals. She was not allowed a pet, so the yip of a dog did not fill her households hallowed halls. No fish swam in a bowl atop her dresser, no cat curled in her Fathers favorite leather chair. Critters were the only thing Evelyn wanted, not the itchy and puffy dresses she was forced to wear, not the tight foot-pinching shoes. She ran away at twelve, taking a bus to a cousins house, and she never looked back. Her parents never looked for her- Though they had spoiled the young lady they had never actually wanted a daughter and had no time for her anyway. Evelyn was gone- poof,- as if she never existed in her house.
From twelve to twenty, Eve grew in her cousin Abigail's household. She worked for her spot in the house; acting a maid for her newlywed relative. Proving herself quite capable at decorating, she designed her cousins future baby's room. She payed rent, though her pale cousin did not accept it, and lived out her days half in the house and half working in the 'reptile dome' as she so called it.
How they were recruited:
Evelyn used to work in a reptile house much like the one she works in now- A large glass-dome like building where expansive aquariums filled with the rarest of species were housed. Snakes, turtles, frogs, the shy girl liked all the slithery critters that most females tended to... avoid. She liked their unique appearances and different reactions to things, and so she had applied for, and gotten, a job as a handler-in-training.
She had been at the job no longer than a year when two very professional-looking men in suits entered the building for a tour- A tour her higher-ups had assigned the young handler to give. Being very silent in motions and words, Eve was very unhappy being made a guide. What would she say to these men? How in the /hell/ was she supposed to act like the peppy guides who didn't seem to be lurking the building at the moment? She was to be a handler, not a tour-monkey. She proceeded to show the two men around the building, motioning to glass cages filed with natures oddities. As she was explaining a particularly rare type of lizard, the men closed the door to the snake room, leaving the three locked in. In short, Evelyn was scared out of her mind.
The younger of the men in sunglasses stepped forward, reaching into his pocket, for what Evelyn assumed was a gun. She closed her eyes and whimpered- A feral-sounding noise that had the men somewhat confused. Feeling neither the impact of a shot through her body or a knife, Eve's eyes slid open to focus on the badge held about a foot in front of her.
SPECTER. She had never in her life heard of such a company, but as the men explained what they were there for, she understood. In their explanation the word 'morph' had caught her attention several times. Morph. They linked into the Animorphs. The group she had used to idolize. Kids that could turn into any creature they wished- Any creature at all... that was a wish of hers. And now that wish was being offered up to her on a silver platter. Having no family or strings to tie her down- besides Cousin Abigail who could perfectly function without her- the usually mute brunette had quite loudly and assertively said, "It would be an honor to join up with you."
Eve was transported to her new town within the next few days- Her death had been faked, her job resigned, and she was carted off to her post after being presented with the 'blue cube' and absorbing its power into herself.
Preferred Job: Reptile house
First morph: A Gila monster. Sausage-shaped and sluggish, this brightly colored lizard was easy for Eve to get her hands on working in the reptile house. Her higher-ups were handling it very carefully and allowed her a quick pet- As long as her fingers were nowhere near the creatures toxic mouth. They had been amused with how the beast had become even more sluggish under her touch, naturally being put in a trance by the new animorph, and the handlers had taken the bright orange lizard away soon after. Anxious to try this new power she had been told of, Eve morphed in one of the ladies room's stalls; The instincts of the creature had her slowly moving for the open door and the parched earth she saw outside. A lady heading for the bathroom screamed as she saw the girl-Gila waddling along, and soon after the reptile attendants came and scooped up Evelyn in her morph. It took a half hour for the lizard-Eve to escape from the cat-crate they had her in, and she had almost been trapped in her form on that first time. This is the cause of her hesitancy into morphs; But once she gets fully into them, watch out.
