Name: Ivrim-Escoriath-Winwall
Gender: Male
Age: equivalent to a human in his early 60s
Appearance: The first thing an Andalite would notice about Ivrim is his size; he's not even the size of the average female, with an undersized tail-blade to match. His face is fairly long and thin, with the large almond-shaped eyes typical of his species. All four of his eyes are a pleasant green-gold. His human-like upper-body is a little small by Andalite standards, but scrawny by human ones. The fur that covers him is royal blue, with a spattering of tan from age. His hooves have also begun to dull from the years.
In the human morph he acquired for his government work on Earth, Ivrim appears to be a small but solidly built man, perhaps in his 60s or 70s. His hair is graying brown, and his eyes are a bright blue. He has a gray beard which, thanks to morphing, always appears neatly trimmed. Though he still does not find clothing to be comfortable, he does his best to dress respectably. When he not required to wear a suit for work, he wears collared shirts and the most comfortable dress shoes he can find. He sticks to colors like blue, black, and gray. Trying to figure out what colors "clash" according to human taste is too much time wasted. (Even when not explicitly working, he still considers himself a representative of his homeworld at all times.) This is a frolis maneuver morph; the DNA was provided by several volunteers when Ivrim first came to Earth.
His second human morph, also a frolis maneuver, was provided to him by SPECTER volunteers upon joining. His previous morph was too high profile to be used for SPECTER work. This is a much younger morph, appearing to be in his late teens or early 20s. He has high cheekbones and feminine look, with floppy brown hair. He's tall, a little over 6', with a scrawny, spindly appearance not unlike his Andalite body. Knowing that human youths are not typically expected to dress up, Ivrim usually sticks to jeans and t-shirts or similar. He can't afford to stick out, but still doesn't want to waste too much time coordinating his outfits.
Personality: Ivrim is, if anything, quiet, reserved, and gentle. He learned a long time ago to take jibes about his size and career, and so probably has a better sense of both humor and humility than the average Andalite. He still has a great deal of pride in his people, but in the few years he's been on Earth, he's truly come to love humans. While he's very confident in his areas of expertise, he can be passive and very unsure of himself outside those areas. More than once (particularly regarding the Yeerks) he has bowed to the will of the Electorate rather than stand up for his beliefs.
Biography: Ivrim was born the only child of a tactical officer and a botanist. His parents did not so much hope as expect that their son would have a military career. Whether he ended up a tactical officer like his father or a fighter pilot or even a prince didn't matter so much to them. But Ivrim was born quite undersized with a puny tail; growing up he was always about the same size as the girls. He couldn't count the number of times in school or play he got a sharp tail-whip to the head. The size of his tail never stopped him from trying to give as good as he got. As he grew into adolescence he began to learn that some patience and clever tricks got him much better results than trying to beat his classmates by brute force. By then he already knew he didn't like driftball and didn't want to join the military. Besides, he knew that even if he did it just to please his parents, he'd never advance very far.
What he did like was science, culture, and art. All of the things a girl should be studying. As if his diminutive size weren't embarrassing enough for his parents. Still, they did their best to be supportive. Ivrim and his father happily discussed Andalite history, especially military history and tactics, while he and his mother would bond over grass-scape design or biology. When Ivrim became old enough to officially become an aristh, he instead began travelling with a group of Ongachic nomads, studying their culture. He spent about a year with them before returning to the Andalite homeworld. He decided to become, essentially, an anthropologist.
Over his lifetime, he has studied a number of species: the Leerans, Hawjabrans, and even the Yeerks. He even pushed for diplomatic relations to begin between the Andalites and Kelbrids, but no progress was ever made on that front. After the tragedy of Seerow's Kindness, the Electorate pressured him to aid the Andalite military in tactics against the Yeerks. While he continued to study other species, the war against the Yeerks affected virtually all he did. Studying a new species was now a way to find suitable allies against the Yeerks.
When the Animorphs finally made contact with Andalites, Ivrim volunteered to become a sort of cultural attaché, studying humans and working to promote relations and understanding between the two species. He worked with diplomats and the press, while also trying to promote tourism and study abroad between the youths of both species. He has been living on Earth for a few years now, on a plot of land with a small house for entertaining human guests, though he still chooses to live in a scoop.
How they were recruited: Before the limousine even came into sight, Ivrim could hear it coming. He was on holiday at home for the next two weeks; a reward for the ridiculous amount of work and travel he'd put in recently. At that moment, he was having a leisurely run and enjoying the grass. The limo pulled up in front of the house, and out stepped a woman in a suit. She appeared to be of Asian decent. Ivrim wasn't expecting her, but the limo and suit made him curious. Someone on a business visit, when he was on holiday? He trotted towards the woman, tail ever so slightly raised.
"Ivrim-Escoriath-Winwall, my name is Agent Vixen." She showed her badge for just a moment.
<It's not often I have business calls at home. May I ask the nature of this visit?>
"I would be surprised if you didn't. To cut to the point, I am here with a job offer for you. Currently you do work with the U.S. government, but we have something different in mind for you."
Now Ivrim was intrigued. Even more cautious, but certainly intrigued. <Not to be rude, Agent Vixen, but I'm not sure why you would be offering me a position. I like my job.> He paused for a moment, but she said nothing. <You're free to continue if you like, though.>
Agent Vixen smiled slightly, and Ivrim immediately realized why she hadn't replied. Now she knew for certain that he was curious, and that meant he was interested. d**n, she was good. "As you're no doubt aware, the Yeerks were defeated here. However there are still Yeerk forces in space, as well as other dangers posed from other species. And there is still the potential for Yeerk nothlits or humans to cause problems or unrest."
<Of course.> Unconsciously, his tail lowered a bit.
"Of course you are also familiar with the group of humans who called themselves 'Animorphs', and of the aid Prince Elfangor and Prince Aximili gave them." This time she didn't even bother waiting for him to acknowledge; Ivrim was sure she knew she had him now. Hook, line, and sinker as the humans said. "Neither Prince Elfangor nor Prince Aximili are here to help now. The Hork-Bajir fell to Yeerk control with Andalite help, but we saved them."
<With Andalite help,> Ivrim felt he had to interject.
"Yes, with Andalite help," Vixen smiled more. "That's what we're offering you. There are humans with the ability to morph now, to fight whatever threats may arise, but we could use the expertise of some Andalites, and you're able to pass for human better than most." As if she already knew what he was going to say, she continued on. "We're aware you're older than either Prince, and not a warrior yourself. Your age will prove an advantage, as if you accept we will have to fake your death."
Ivrim nodded, <And you won't have to make it look like an accident. But I'm still not a warrior.>
"Not every fight needs a tail-blade."
Preferred Job: Insect House/Aviary? I'm open to discussion on this.
Starting City: Hemington/Mariposa. As above, I'm open.
First morph (optional): Human; 2 different morphs as described in Appearance
