"Guess we'll pick straws for rooms?" Maya wondered. Not that any of the rooms were bigger than another, but picking roommates might be more chaotic. There would, in fact, be one room with a guy and a girl in it at this rate.
"More people??" Maya frowned as she followed him down the stairs. "What was SPECTER thinking??" She peered down in order to spot the others who had just arrived.

The house was becoming full quickly and Rukia was really beginning to wonder how they would all be able to fit. She wasn't particularly picky about where she slept-- she could sleep just about anywhere. Though, just how many rooms were in this house anyway? If she had to sleep on the couch, she wouldn't mind at all.
The kitchen no longer had a spec of dust in it, so that made her pleased with herself. She turned around at the sound of another voice saying "Guess what I found?" That sounded like a good sign.
"There are more rooms I take it?" she asked, "Let's hope we all fit. I don't have any specific preference to where I sleep-- stick me anywhere and I'll be good." She never liked to cause any trouble and she certainly wasn't going to fight about where to sleep. It wasn't as if she brought a lot with her anyway.
After SPECTER recruited her, she was allowed to have her laptop with all of her writing on it and a notebook or two. She couldn't have been more thankful for that-- she didn't know what she would do without her writing. Though, her inspiration had been lacking lately... maybe she would find it again by staying here.
"Or perhaps it's time for a different kind of story, a real kind of adventure."

"Well,"Alec replied about his previous discovery."I guess maybe later." He walked into the kitchen, hungry for something. Alec noticed Rukia's notebook.
"You write? I know a publisher. I used to be an editor."He said. He opened the fridge and saw a ham and cheese sandwich. He took it out and started eating it. It was gone in two minutes.

He lips slowly turned up in a smile as he looked around the house. The sheer number of people wasn't all that bad. If nothing else we can sleep in shifts. He spun in a slow circle in the middle of the floor, taking it all in. "All I need is a room with a desk in it and some power outlets." And a hand lathe, sandpaper, rock tumbler, soldering kit, maybe a few polishing clothes and a set of precision tools. "I wouldn't even mind sleeping in a basement if there is one." Too long away from the sun. So much so that you've forgotten Her light.
He looked about for a second before dropping his bag in an out of the way corner, ignoring the slight clank of metal on wood. "Now is there anything else to do? I'd feel foolish just watching you guys work." He wondered idly who his superior would be here. The people here seemed so young, but he'd heard somewhere that spending prolonged periods in morph slowed the aging process, on account of not using your body, if not causing it to revert continuosly to the point where the person touched the Escafil device. It might just be more yeerk propoganda to spread fear though. He then started wondering about the ramifications of morphing while pregnant, as he looked for something to do.

Jake waited patiently for Leo to demorph, and he watched with a little interest. He hadn't morphed his Siberian husky yet, so morphing was new to him. When Leo was done, Jake grinned. "Sure, I'll show you around. It'd cost you twenty bucks, though," he teased.
Jake started walking back around the building. "Well, where you just crash-landed is the backyard. This is the front yard. And that, my friend, is the front door. Shall we continue on inside?" He opened the door and said, "Hey, guys, we have someone else here!" and held the door open for Leo.

Keith nodded as he heard one of the girls- he didn't think he knew her name, and, come to think of it, he didn't think he'd seen her before- comment that there were more rooms on the other side. That was a relief, since there seemed to be more people walking into the house already.
"So, if there are two sides to the upstairs... how do we want to do it? Like, girls on one side and guys on the other?" he asked; as sweet as it would have been to have one of the cute girls as his roommate, he figured that would probably be the most logical thing to do. After all, no one here knew each other. Any of these people could be totally creepy, after all. He glanced at Maya. "Drawing straws sounds good, too. I dunno, someone decide on something," he said, with a half-shrug.

Leopold grinned; he, of course, didn't believe it'd really cost him anything to be shown around. Jake was a pretty nice guy, it seemed; he was glad to have met him. "Thanks," the youth said. He followed him, noting that they were beginning to clean the dusty, old place. Once he was oriented with it, he'd probably join in on cleaning; after all, he liked being useful.
Now, as Leopold stepped in, it could be noted he was a bit shy. "Um...hi," he said. He smiled a bit, and waved, hoping that he'd get a good reception from these people; after all, he'd be working with them, and living with them.

As Maya scanned all the people on the main floor, she felt a little worried about the 3 bedrooms upstairs. But when it was revealed that there were more through another way, she was more than relieved. "Oh thank God," she sighed. "I was wondering what SPECTER had been smoking giving us this house for a second..."
"Girls on one side, guys on the other might be a good idea," she nodded at Keith's suggestion. "Usually the easiest and safest strategy, eh? Um..." she scanned the room some more. "...maybe we should do a roll call here and make sure everyone is accounted for, and we all know each others' names? Then we can figure out where we're all sleeping... Hopefully SPECTER isn't sending any more right away..."
She glanced at Nancy. "Upstairs that way is three rooms and a bathroom, which you probably already saw when you ran up there earlier. How many are on the other side??"

"Oh, um, hi," Nancy flustered as she was suddenly by another guy. One she hadn't just seen. And there was a guy she had met soming through the front door with another guy. The house was suddenly becoming overrun with people! Then she saw Maya come down and ask how many rooms she had found. "Well, upstairs there are two more rooms and a bathroom. But before that, there's a huge empty room that we can use to give us some more space."
Nancy stopped for a sneeze and then held up her hands to get everyone's attention. "Hey people!" she said pretty loudly. "Hey, um, I agree, we do need a role call. This is already confusing so it would be better if we did know something about each other. Then we could draw straws for what rooms we want. There's," she broke off as she started counting, "three girls. So we can bunk down in the other rooms. The guys can all bunk right up there in the four rooms. Sound okay? I'll begin the introductions."
Nancy sneezed two more times before saying (again), "Hi, my name is Nancy. I've been assigned here to work at the zoo."

I wonder if maybe they sent too many people here... Seeing even more people pop up, he shook his head. The logistics of keeping this place runn- Lets not get into the logistics. Just getting these people to agree would be a task if they're like the raw recruits from the fort. If anything they seem worse.
He nodded his head as he listened to the sneezing girl, allergies in his book, and replied with a simple "Mark, Pet Store," before cracking a smile. "I suggest we move this into the back yard, both for your sake and so that we can be sure everyone will fit."

Keith rolled his eyes at the ceiling, fighting down an amused grin. "As long as no one else is going to show up in the next few seconds," he said, wryly, glancing at the front door as if just waiting for the new wave of new people. Given that yet another new face had just waltzed in through that same door, it seemed like not such a far-fetched idea. "It'd get old if we kept having to go around the room, introducing ourselves as each new group of people comes in." He fought down a laugh and qualified, "Sorry, I don't mean to come off so grumpy..."
He trailed off, amused by how serious he'd sounded, and started over. "Anyway, I'm Keith, I'm starting at the local circus tomorrow morning. Good to meet you all; this'll be fun."

The girl managed to get Leo's attention without holding up her hands; her sneeze announced her arrival to him. She introduced herself as Nancy. Leopold tried to nervously place his hands in his pockets, to find he had none; any clothing more suitable than...this...was at the raptor centre. That's what he got for flying here. Oh well; it was worth it.
Mark introduced himself simply and curtly, then addressed Nancy; Keith said he'd be starting at the pet store. Leopold supposed it was his turn. "My name's Leopold Asden," he said. "I work at the raptor centre." He smiled; he loved that job...

A publisher?! Now there was something of interest to Rukia-- she's always wanted to meet a publisher and submit her works. Though, her works would probably have to go through even more editing than what she put into it-- she spent days editing some of her stories.
Her attention was then grabbed by a girl named Nancy that she had seen earlier. There were only three girls here? Wow, that would surely make things quite interesting. They were apparently doing role-call, so she decided to speak after Leopold did-- SPECTER sure assigned them to odd jobs around town.
"Rukia Hadley," she said with a smile, "I work at the Vet's clinic."

Maya suddenly realized upon suggesting the sharing of names that she hadn't shared hers. When no one else stepped up to introduce themselves, she chose the opportunity to do so herself. "I'm Maya. I'll be working at the zoo, apparently. Concessions," she sighed, already hating the idea. She'd worked in a cafe while she was at college. It hadn't been a fun job at all.
Then she headed over to their pile of bags and things, rummaging through to find her own stuff. "Well, guess it's time to go check out the other rooms, huh? Come on girls, let's see who gets what," she grinned.

((Should they be 3 bedrooms, or 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom?))
Nancy gave a nervous wave to everyone who introduced themselves. Then she furtively glanced around because she suddenly felt very awkward. As in, VERY. Then she sneezed. If the dust was bad before, it was just slightly better. All of the people moving around had stirred up the dust in the air, but at least she was sneezing as often. Which would no doubt change when she went to the rest of the house.
She was glad when Maya announced to go check out the other rooms. "Nice, I like your thinking Maya," Nancy said. Then she proceeded to follow the other girl's example and she grabbed her luggage. Then she began walking away from the crowd towards the other end of the house. "Maybe this whole thing won't be so bad after-all." She said to the other two.
