Nate wandered out of his room with a yawn, scratching his head and wandering sleepily to the kitchen. Coffee. Yes. He needed coffee. Or maybe something stronger. Wait no, that was for later. Right, Coffee was for breakfast.
He shuffled towards the kitchen and then paused. He glanced at the others who were clearly ready to go somewhere. He blinked. Was he supposed to be going with them? Wait, what time was it? He glanced at the clock. Whoops.
"Uhhh... I'll be right back," he stated, hurrying back into his room to get changed.

Leroy walked out of his room and headed toward the main living area of their large apartment. He passed by Nate who was headed the other direction, apparently not ready yet. Leroy had on a nice button-up shirt, some kaki slacks, and a pair of old sneakers. He also had a back pack with some snacks and a change of clothes in it. However, underneath what he was wearing on the exterior, Leroy was wearing a dorky skin-tight suit that he had found at a garage sale. Whoever owned it before him must have been into speed skating or something. But it was cheap and useful, and the hood had been easy enough to cut off. "We should probably be gone by now, huh?" Leroy said when a pacing Jeremy came into view. "Well, I'm ready. Let's hit the road!" He was well aware that not everyone else was as ready as him, and so wasn't actually expecting anyone to follow his over-emphasized advice.

Well, Nate didn't seem quite as ready as the rest of them. Jamilan knew how important to him the caffeinated beverage known as coffee was - in fact, it would probably keep him alert and aware - thus he proposed, quickly, a solution: "We can have breakfast - and coffee - on the way." He was looking forward to consuming human food, even though he didn't need to. He had fed prior, in the fields where no human would be at that time of night. And he knew how not to make a scene.
He acknowledged Leroy with a nod of his head, and smirked, yet another expression picked up from the humans, though it wasn't the perfect smirk. He knew what the cliche meant but it still amused him thinking about it literally. Humans and their cliches...

Nate came back out of his room a few minutes later with some clothes on and a bag hastily packed--and by packed it meant he'd dumped a drawer into it and may or may not have forgotten extra underwear. His hair still looked a mess, but he didn't particularly care at the moment as long as he could get some caffeine in his system.
"okay okay, let's get this show on the road," he mumbled sleepily. "let's just make sure to stop somewhere awesome for breakfast..."

"About time," Jeremy said under his breath. His backpack went over his shoulder and he strode through the door, trying to make it look like he wasn't especially impatient. Sadly, impatience was one of the few things he'd never really learned to hide. He threw himself in the shotgun seat and folded his hands over his backpack, which was now in his lap.
They would be stopping for breakfast... fine, whatever. He knew most people weren't as anxious to be going as he was. And some breakfast would probably do him good. He just hoped it was quick.

"Alright, so we get some breakfast, wake up the rest of the way, and drive to wherever it was that SPECTER told us to go. Simple plan, right? Lets not make this more complicated than it has to be." Leroy said all this as he climbed into the vehicle, not really caring if anyone was actually listening. He was still a bit too tired to care, despite having been up for 45 minutes already.
"At any rate, lets just make sure we don't screw this up." Leroy leaned his backpack against a window and used it as a pillow. He was going to pretend to get a small nap in on the way to whatever restaurant they decided to stop at, even though he was positive he wouldn't be able to.
(OOC: I vote we time-skip to when they reach their destination, or are at least well on their way. *cough* Jamilan *cough*)

"Hey, wait up," Allie called. She jumped into the vehicle and grinned at everyone. She was actually kind of excited for this mission. The one downside was it appeared she'd be the only female member of the group coming, but she was a tomboy and perfectly fine with hanging with the boys for a day. "Sorry. I took a little longer getting ready than I thought I would. I kind of figured that if we want to NOT attract attention, then I needed to have my hair not look like I stole it from the bride of Frankenstein." It wasn't completely neat, but that was hidden by the fact that Allie had pulled it back into a ponytail. She had her leotard that she usually used for morphing on underneath a nicer looking blouse, a khaki skirt, and boots. A large shoulder bag she carried had spare clothes, snacks, and a few other things she'd thought might be useful to have along. "I'm ready. Let's do this." Well, she was as ready as she'd ever be at any rate. God, I hope we don't royally mess this up.

((OOC: Typing this while I’m offline. Hope I’m not off in my timing, since I don’t know where on the Texas map that Mariposa was)). With Allie having finally joined them, they were on their way. They stopped at the Waffle House for some breakfast; Jamilan had eggs, a hashbrown, and a large Belgian waffle. In addition, he had a glass of orange juice. He enjoyed the tastes and textures, and savored them. Jeremy looked anxious, but Jamilan himself was excited. It meant a chance to see the Earth’s ocean life, and fix something that was wrong.
They agreed on a radio station, and drove with the music playing. Jamilan would sometimes sound out words, since he was in human form and there was no-one to be suspicious of him. Every so often, they’d stop at a rest stop, for the others to go to the bathroom and for Jamilan to go into the woods and demorph & remorph. When they got there, it was nearly dinnertime. They got a text message from Agent Morris, telling them where to meet him before they checked into their hotel.
***
“Why do they call it Olive Garden?” the Andalite asked, as he parked the van perfectly in the restaurant’s parking lot. Apparently, the agent had agreed to meet them here and was fine with paying for the food. It was a bit suspicious that he was, actually, but the Andalite didn’t really look into it. “It does not look like a garden.” He opened the door, and stepped out. He had been in morph for an hour and thirteen minutes.

"It may not look like a garden on the outside, but on the inside... Okay, so it still doesn't look like a garden, but they probably have an amazing salad bar." Leroy could have explained it to Jamilan, sure, but they had just gotten to the end of a long car ride and he wasn't in the mood to explain the name of yet another restaurant. He hopped out of the vehicle and stretched out all his limbs, causing his back to crack loudly in the process.
"Ahh, I needed that. So was this agent guy meeting us inside then? Did he say?" Without waiting for an answer, Leroy headed for the building. He figured that a SPECTER agent could find them no matter where they were. Including the inside of an Olive Garden.

If SPECTER was buying, Jeremy would be civil. However, he fully expected them to finish the meal then turn around and find that the agent had vanished, leaving them to pay the bill. Oh well. At least he would get some Olive Garden before that. If he'd been in a better mood, he would have answered Jamilan's question, but he just walked on, ignoring it.
"Table for five," he said to the hostess. "Non smoking, please." He grinned, partly to look friendly and partly because a table for five would exclude the agent. That just made him happy.

"Sweet, I love this place," Nate commented as they entered the building. "One time, me and my buddies ate nothing but bread sticks and salad, and then fled. We got chased by the angriest dude ever. Oh good times..."
He trailed off for a bit as they approached the hostess, thinking about his friends back home. The friends who all thought he was dead. He frowned a little, suddenly missing them a lot more than he had before. It had already been quite a while since he'd joined SPECTER, and he was starting to wonder if it had been worth it. Besides the poachers--where he'd almost gotten killed--it was like they hadn't really done anything worth while besides stopping petty thieves.
Maybe this trip would be different, he told himself. The mission sounded big and important. He liked that. Though he was pretty sure he liked pasta dishes even better, he noted as his stomach growled at the scent of all the Italian food in the building.

((OOC: Since this is now out of town, would you move this thread to the out of town section, Leroy, or should I start us up a second thread? LOL, anyone you want can be the one to warn Jamilan not to get any wine.))
Jamilan still didn’t understand, though he knew that salad was food, and he liked food. Jeremy got them a table for five in the non-smoking section – something Jamilan was grateful for since he didn’t like cigarette smoke. Nate told them about something he and his friends had done here, and Jamilan couldn’t help but smile – with his eyes. They were soon seated at the table, and the waiter set down a plate of breadsticks and ordered their drinks. Jamilan looked at the wine menu, wondering what that was but someone stopped him from doing so.
“I do not see him yet,” Jamilan said, stuffing a breadstick in his mouth and munching it, enjoying the taste and texture.
((OOC: One or two of you, feel free to head to the bathroom, salad bar, or other part of the restaurant but don’t find the agent yet)).

((OOC: The thread can stay here for now. Maybe we could start a different one when they actually are about to use their orca morphs))
Leroy was trying to decide what to order when he noticed Jamilan looking at the wine selection. "Uh, maybe you should wait until a different occasion to try those," Leroy half-whispered, trying to be polite and discrete. He did not feel like finding out what an inebriated andalite looked like. That was assuming, of course, that Jamilan would have consumed enough to actually get drunk. And didn't demorph before it took effect? Leroy suddenly found himself wondering if morphing cured drunkenness. He would have to remember to test it out once he turned 21.
"I think I gotta make a pit stop the little boy's room," Leroy said as he stood up. "If they come to take our orders before I get back, tell them I want this." Leroy pointed to one of the options on the menu. "Oh, and a Dr. Pepper or something," he called back as he maneuvered between tables.

Jeremy stood up. Normally, he wasn't one to call attention to himself. But this was strange. Why wasn't the agent waiting for them? It just didn't seem like SPECTER. Maybe the agent was hiding at another table. He peered around at various patrons, but there was no sign of anyone suspicious. But maybe attracting attention would get the agent to show up so as to stop him. He wasn't sure how important it was to the agents that they remain under cover, but it had to be pretty far up there, right?
He knew he was grasping at straws. He was just impatient. He made himself sit back down. Suddenly, he felt how little sleep he'd gotten the previous night. He rubbed his eyes and drank some water. Couldn't show SPECTER any weakness.

((OOC: See my note here. NPCs just aren't my strong suit..)) Jamilan raised a human eyebrow. " Why would that be?" he asked. " What is wine, and why must one provide valid ID to drink it?" Regardless, he would obey Leroy, whom he had dubbed as his "prince." " Pit stop? Little boy's room?" Jamilan blinked, obviously confused. He returned to the bread, after taking note of what Leroy wanted. Jeremy looked impatient, as he had much of the time. At this point, Jamilan did not blame him.
